Started a Winter Soldier build. This is the right arm. It is not exactly screen accurate... But it really works.
Like there are supposed to be 5 "slats" in the shoulder, not 3. The shape needs some muscular reinforcement. We are going to take a little artistic license.
Some updates. The undershirt is almost finished. The Pants are also almost done. Building a vest with all the leather strapping. I'm wearing a ruff cut canvas pattern in one of the pics.
Update: this is the plan so far. We are going to take the back two flaps of the vest and attach it with a belt in the front with the rings so I can pull it tight and then pull the outside flaps back and secure with Velcro stuck that way I can continue to get a nice V-shaped look with the tapered waist but have it be able to fit of wide variety of people.
The pants fit perfect! They have two working pockets one on the side and one on the back pocket. The sides of the pants are fit with about 3 inches of the elastic. This will help with comfort and to be able to fit someone who might have a 34 to 36 inch waist as opposed to a 32 to 34 inch waist.
Starting the arm sculpt tomorrow. Going to use a mannequin arm for the base form. I'm going to try thermo plastic or solara and see how it works. I've never used either product.
Update: We have finished the vest and the undershirt and the pants. Moving on to the metallic arm.
using thermo plastic and a heat gun to mold the arm.
Here we go!!!
The harness and the arm finished!! I really like the way that the arm turned out! The metallic is really really good in person. Way better than it looks the picture.
This is what it looked like when We put it altogether.
