Limited Run Winter Soldier S.H.I.E.L.D Flash drive PRICE in 1st post

Re: Winter Soldier S.H.I.E.L.D Flash drive

I think I could go for a lit version too rather than the static.

Looking forward to seeing how these turn out.

That's fine. I need the right source material or it doesn't happen. It needs to right.

I'm thinking the USB would be an amazing companion piece to display alongside the Cube you sent me, renaissance_man. :)

It is crazy how small computer memory storage has become!

Nice work on the custom SHIELD ID badge you did for me by the way, it arrived this week.
Thanks

Re: Winter Soldier S.H.I.E.L.D Flash drive

just my 2 cents...don't most flashdrives light up when in use? so trick is, finding one with blue light that can either be rewired or in a position that would light up prop from within...ok friends "find one" :)

Re: Winter Soldier S.H.I.E.L.D Flash drive

I have 6 flash drives sitting on my desk...none light up.... I dont know about most..

Re: Winter Soldier S.H.I.E.L.D Flash drive

gotcha, my bad then...I have 2 on my desk, and both light up(one pulses red when it in use, other just lit up once its plugged in), so I just assumed most did... sorry to add confusion.. looking forward to your finished piece.. :)

Actually quite a lot of drives do light up but they only tend to do so when first plugged in or when the drive is being accessed so for a static display this would not work. I have been looking at these Iron Man usb drives http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/161556050...49&var=460568079639&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

I reckon if you removed the casing it might be possible to re-position the lights to shine down through a piece of say clear acrylic which could be slotted into each side of the drive. Might work if you got hold of one of those Plugable USB ports Reel showed earlier in the thread and actually connected it to a PC. What would be really cool would be if somebody could also write a program to run a number of screens on your PC to look like you are accessing the Insight program when it was plugged in. That way as the drive would be in use the lights would stay on. I have some of the Stargate Atlantis Motion Computing M1400 programs which run on Macromedia which I might try to modify to do this, but I am not sure how, but I could be getting carried away here :confused
