Ok so having looked back through the thread that was not made clear at any point, but I assume you will be modelling all of the shells from the same master which will be designed to fit these drives in which case you only need to let me know where you got the drives from and I can order my own.

I do recall the option on the forms but everything was still a little vague back then about if this would actually be possible and I know as late as 19 June people were opting in to the fully finished option so I assumed that until a final prototype was completed it was still all up in the air a little.

No problem though as I said I will order my own drive and fit it myself. It would be helpful though if you could let me know if these were identified as anything specific on ebay to help me find these. Cheers John

Good luck. Back when there were no updates from May to early August, I privately asked about an update (and other people ~yourself included~ asked publicly in this thread). I waited for a response and got none. Neither did anyone else. So I sent a request for a refund and got back the following - "Here is a refund. I will cancel your paypal request. And please dont contact me for any of my other props on the boards Thanks Rocket".

The very next day there was an update on the flash drive. A shame really, as I really wanted this plus reel and rocket do good work and there were (and I'm sure in the future will be) other things I would liked to have purchased.

And we have said a few times...there are very few people in on this so it makes it hard to devote a bunch of time to it,.. and most of the time waiting was for the drives to get here from China.. took months. And when I did get them they were not made of acrylic like they advertised.. so I have spent a lot of time trying to detach the glass piece from the drive without damage to the led.. and I have to modify the pieces and the molds to get the parts to fit together right.. sorry I haven't updated this. I took these pics a week of so ago..but haven't had a lot of time these days to do much updating.

Thanks for the info, was just curious as a couple of months more had gone by and this project did start in May 2015. I understand the clash of priorities, but because there are so few thought it shouldn't be that time consuming to just get them done and out. I also understand the problem about the glass piece and looking at my drive I was wondering if it might be easier to make the translucent piece thin enough so that the glass section just slides into it, rather than having to remove it altogether, but you are the expert and I am looking at this from afar and that just might not be possible. I would also mention that I would be happy to receive one of the raw casts pictured but guess I am way down the list and will try to be patient. Cheers again for the update.:thumbsup

Don't you think you would get more people in on your projects if you were to treat your customers right ?
You do an awesome job man, there's no denying that and I like each and every piece I got from your studio but you need to work on your people skills.
You cannot on the one hand reject customers for something as trivial as asking for updates or for a refund and then complain that your projects don't get much traction.

I know it's board policy that a seller can refuse to sell to anyone without having to give any justification and I respect that but I also happen to think it's hurting your business. Just my 2c.
