Unlimited Run Willy Wonka (1971) - accurate "Wonka Bar" replicas

Re: Willy Wonka (1971) - "Wonka Bar" & "Golden Ticket" replicas

Received my 3 bars and tickets. Great work, as always, Roland! All look fantastic. In doubt if I would open up one of the bars or not, now... :s.

I'll take 1 of these: "Wonka Bar" = $16 plus $8 for shipping - includes a "Golden Ticket" wrapped with the bar and an extra ticket

Thanks for your interest. I added you to my list. :)

Thank you, Tom. I'm glad that you like them. :)

You decide. Since you have three of them, you could display the front side, the back side and an open one as shown on my preview pictures. Provided that you have enough space of course. :D

Re: Willy Wonka (1971) - "Wonka Bar" & "Golden Ticket" replicas

I received my Wonka bar and ticket today, so here comes some pics:

I got one bar and one ticket:

They look just incredible, and the bar has some substantial weight to it. I just love the bar all wrapped up, but I wanted to see if I could open it up and then put it back together. FYI, you can :)

After carefully pushing the bar out of the slip paper, we see it's very nicely wrapped as a normal chocolate bar would be.

Gently, I opened the silver foil to see the prop chocolate bar wrapped in my other golden ticket :)

You can now see the ticket is tightly wrapped around the bar :)

Finally the fully unwrapped bar is visible, this thing is heavy, I've only had maybe one real bar this heavy, and it was from London :)

The texture of the bar is perfect, and the colour mimics real chocolate very well :) It looks so tasty, I really wanted to bite it, but I like my teeth too much.

Awesome replica Roland, I absolutely love it, and can't wait for more replica chocolate. :)

I got into Jintosh's run not long ago, so I thought I'd post a few comparison pics for anyone interested, so here we go.

Here they are together Roland's ticket on top:

Many small differences, the font and sizes vary between both. Also the colour of the material differs, while Roland's is more of a gold colour, Jintosh's was more of a brass colour.

Roland's ticket is about 1/8" larger in both directions as shown by the photo.

One more difference I noted is the thickness of the tickets:

Here is Roland's ticket measured using my venier:

And here is Jintosh's ticket:

Not much difference, but when holding them, you can tell that Jintosh's is thicker, and also a bit stiffer.

So, in conclusion, I feel that both the tickets stand very well on their own. But I'm very happy that I have both, they are both amazing replicas, and I highly recommend them.

Anyone still just thinking about this run, should just pull the trigger, you won't be disappointed, thanks again Roland for this run :)

My tickets have the exact dimensions like the screen used ticket on the following picture from propstore.com, where you can see a ruler next to the ticket:

The shape of my tickets is a copy of the shape of the original ticket from the "Dreier" collection that was sold on "Profiles in History" four years ago. That's the ticket from Julie Dawn Cole who played Veruca Salt in the 1971 movie.

Thank you for sharing that information Roland, I hope you didn't think i was criticizing your prop, I was just trying list differences. I like them both very much, and I look forward to the next piece you have to offer. :)

Oh, that shouldn't have happened. :( Maybe I should stick a "handle with care" note on the package next time. I will send you another bar next week.
