Which Direction Will the V2 be Displayed?

Anyone seen the MR Luke V2 in the case? The reason I ask is I'm massively anal retentive, and it annoyed the crap out of me that the OB ROTS faced left when all the other sabers seem to face right. But looking at the location of the V2 cone knob, I have a vibe like that one will face left too, for aesthetic reasons. Anyone know? God that would just make me crazy...

Yes, it's tough being me. :rolleyes

All of my sabers face right except the Luke ANH LE which faces left and I hate it. If the Luke V2 is like the ROTJ it will be able to face both ways. I upgraded my old style MR Luke case to an Obi Wan ROTS case and it fits just fine. You can see mine here.

i actually had to display my anakin aotc saber to the left because the red and green led's were on the left side... that, along with the obi rots saber it really bothered me.

the funny thing is that the my han blaster faces right, and that pisses me off because all my other non sw guns are displayed toi the left, because the safetys are all on the left side.

i guess we can never win...

The V2 is best displayed facing right.

The lightsaber is centered right/left and front/back, so you can display either way! Just turn the whole display around!

The only other decision is what details you want to face forward. . .

Although the above statement is true for most sabers, some just simply can not be displayed from both sides if you want to show their 'best side'. One such example is the Vader ANH, which can ONLY be displayed facing left, for the control box to be fully visible. I mean, would you display your VAder ANH like in this pic below?

And not many people have walk-around display cabinets to allow the displays to be viewed from both sides.

Well, guys, if you want to think philosofically here, if the saber handle points left, it is readily in reach, and quick to use. This indicates mistrust on your quests, as they could think that you need to use the weapon on them, and therefore you have placed it so that it is easily grasped. Whereas, if the saber points right, in order to use it, it would have to be used with the left hand, ie the off-hand. Yes, this thinking is from the east, I train Aikido, and bits seep out to other areas as well. Although displayed items can hardly be considered weapons as such, this might explain why the orientation of one sager might bother someone. I only have one scratch built saber, and am fine with it. Well, that's my 2cents..

Now come on people. Everyone know that only Jedi or Sith use a lightsaber and never just would pick it up off a stand. They would "use the force!" ;)

That's funny--I've thought the same thing. The saber facing left would be a quick grab with my right hand :)

BUT, I hate the idea of one lousy saber facing left, so I may switch a few of mine left so that the sabers alternate.

Yes Master Replicas, I can switch the whole display, but with the cradle leaning forward, as I think it was intended, which way does the V2 face?

***Side note: I just broke down and bought an OB1 ROTS. Any other saber cases that will allow it to be displayed facing right?***

I think the Obi will be your only bet. It has the smallest diameter and thus the smallest "cradles".

John

Yeah, but the OB1 ROTS could sit in a stand with larger cradles...but there probably aren't ones with the right two diameters so it'll sit level.
