What's on your workbench? (no Star Wars, Marvel or DC stuff)

I´m working in a Longclaw scabbard, for the foam sword.

I made in leather and plastic materials.

I recently finished a greyscale Dr Who scarf, and now the BSG eastern alliance cruiser is in the early stages, parts pick out and the armature is being made by the great and powerful Mike Reader.

Not been doing a whole lot with props lately (Aaron costume from Alien 3 is about it). I have been focused on Home Stereo stuff for a while. Above, is a phono preamp, for MM and MC cartridges with a few front panel tweaks available. It is a design by Dr. Wyn Palmer (hence, the model number), and it is a world-beater. A commercial version will be available (two versions actually) within the next few months to a year. The cheaper version will be about $250.00 and available soonest. Parts availability is an issue for the "fancy" version, which is approaching the performance of the one above, for about $2500.00 retail. The OEM has not been names by Wyn yet (at their request).

He also designed a Headphone amplifier, that I also built, but that is far less sexy looking.

And currently I'm finishing up a DAC that has been sitting in a drawer for about ten years (attached PDF)...

And here we have a (heavily) modified Rega Planar 3 turntable. It is a baltic birch plinth with an ebony veneer. Below it is an aluminum/rubber constrained layer sub-plinth that rides on three height-adjustable cones. Power switch has an integrated bubble level, which is back-lit when the power is on.

That's about it for the moment, but I have asked Wyn to look into a line preamplifier design for me...

Been working on my Batmobile the last couple of months. Working the body as I can until I can get a chassis lined up for it. In the mean time I have been making and offering the Dash board set ups for the 89 and 92 Returns version. Collecting parts too as I can.

I picked up an old Burke #115 a few weeks ago, along with the excellent parts from Ralph Miller. I started on the conversion, last night, by restoring the spinning and return mechanism, installing the rear triangle greeblies, and test fitting the upholstery…

This will be my chair for my workbench when I’m done.
