I came across this rarely seen photo of the screen-used Han Solo Hero DL-44 prop and couldn’t believe my eyes. I can just make out what appears to be “Star Wars” branding on the left-hand side of the studio-made original. If so, how has this detail been missing from our replicas, for all of these years? Now, bear with me as I am sure that only I can see the before-mentioned branding so easily....
Look what happens when I zoom in and enhance the image, using very sophisticated A.I. technology.
Now, I am going to argue that that this image shows a weathered “Star Wars” logo, which makes sense as George was thinking about merchandising, even as he was making the film. Unless, of course, this was added during the “Special Edition” which is, I suppose, possible—but nonetheless brilliant.
In any case, armed this knowledge of this newly revealed detail, I began accurizing some of my DL-44’s, this afternoon.
I’ll also be adding what appears to be a secondary trigger button in the handle of all my replicas, moving forward.
