What's on your workbench? (no Star Wars, Marvel or DC stuff)

I’m also working (periodically) on a failed iron man helmet
I cut I up after it warped badly and thought I would use the face plate and add a few nano parts to look like it’s forming
Still printing and working on different designs
I will finally put it on a stand with lights in the eyes

Got these 2 fellas on the go at the moment, still at fill, sand and prime. A couple of days should see the mando ready for paint View attachment 1243047
Any uk members building the mando helmet know where I can get a visor from I’m hitting a brick wall, the ones I’ve seen are taking way to long to get here (from international sellers) and the uk ones I’ve seen are a little to light
Made a visor and did a spot of base coat on the mandalorian helmet

not so much prop related, but recently got into gel blasters with my boys as it is legal in the state of South Oz. We are limited in what blasters are available so i wanted an L1A1 ..... WIP

What is a "gel blaster"? Looks like the internals to a standard airsoft gun to me?

Looks like a new thing in airsoft. I had to look it up myself. It may be to get around the issue of pellets, metal or plastic being fired around with stuff that eventually disintegrates into the environment. Something softer like gel is less likely to cause skin damage.

Airsoft is banned in Australia, but a couple of years ago in two states, Queensland and South Australia, the powers that be legalised Gel Blasters. The difference is the pellet is soaked in water and swells to about 7-8 mm and breaks up on impact. The internals cannot be gas powered, only spring fed with an air chamber like the type 2 Airsoft gearboxes. It has become very popular, but most blasters are based around m4s with only a handful of other designs available, hence my build up :)

I'm relatively new to cosplay and my prop-building is simplistic and crude quick-and-dirty stuff.

Working on Exile Barristan's sword, just modifying a Jon Snow sword due to the guards being similar.

The grip will be covered in patterned cloth and bound with metal wire, and a fake stone will be put in the pommel.

Likewise the scabbard will be foam covered in patterned cloth (I found a near-perfect match) and bound with leather straps etc.
