What's on your workbench? (no Star Wars, Marvel or DC stuff)

Re: What's on your workbench?

that a custom built helmet or bought from...?

if you dont mind me asking

Custom built from patterns I got from Wizard of Flight over at The Dented Helmet. Cardstock, resin, and fiberglass matt reinforcement. Here is a better pic of it with a prototype visor and the aluminum trim piece I was thinking of doing.

Re: What's on your workbench?

Right now, 2 phasers (Kelvin and ST3), an Enterprise plaque, and 3 Harry Potter wands all to be completed. But for some reason I just love the look of untouched resin..

If it warms up this week, I'll be getting some paint work done on the phasers..

Re: What's on your workbench?

After a couple years of filling and sanding I'm finally finishing up my Hasbro Ep 2 clone helmet.

I just started one of Bradley's X wing helmet kits.

Last but not least I just about finished a fertility idol kit I bought at a con.
I thought it was finished but one of my kids nicked the paint so I have to go back, sand and repaint it. :angry

I used Montana gold chrome spray paint on the idol. I cannot say enough good things about this paint. The finish is amazing. It could almost pass for being plated. I can actually see my reflection in it. No rub and buff, no special prep work, nothing. Just spray.

For me it would be open and closed keys and maps to hamunaptra, working book of the dead, static book of the dead, imhotep necklace, Bracelet of Anubis, Book of Amun Ra hieroglyph and lock plate, and scarab beetles. Wow I just realized how much work i Have to do this week. LOL And if anyone is wondering, Yes, all of these items will be for sale. :D

Any idea where I can get a casting of the ST3 phase? Been wanting one for years.

And yes, it might just turn out to be prop related in the end...

Any more pics of the idol...I have some items I'd like to paint gold.

Re: What's on your workbench?

Three Snowtrooper helmets, plus lots of Boba props and a 300 Spartan helmet. Also sculpting Jango knee armour and some Snowtrooper armour.

What started out as a quickie warm-up build ended up consuming my workbench. She will light up... like a damn Christmas tree.

Muzzle flash is programmable, and can be chosen on the fly, seemed like River was able to choose ammo and burst type.

Added laser target acquisition. I figured the widget on top had to be good for something.

Why do I do this to myself?:behave
