You have a dirty mind, sir.

What, no Fett love around here?

This ROTJ jetpack is an OLD Bradley Fett kit - probably 10 years. I've had it for about 7! Not film accurate, but decent for its time. And I'm OK with "close enough" at this point :lol

I've worked on it in spurts, then let it sit forever. Glutton for punishment, wanting a ROTJ paint scheme. Just did the white areas tonight. Still a ways to go, but getting there. Some of the weathering is already started (blasphemy, I know, withouth finishing ALL of the base paint first).

Hard to believe I made my first FETT costume 13 years ago!

Re: What's on your workbench?

Here's a progress update on my Endor rifle. Everything except the stock butt plate and the fence around the mag release are finished. There's just a lot of filling and sanding to finish (yay...). I didn't make the wood grip, someone on the RPF did, but I lost the emails so I don't know who! Keep in mind in the pic the parts were held together with tape, spit, and rubberbands so a few things aren't perfectly straight.

FINALLY SOME PROGRESS PICS!!!! :love

Looking great so far, I see you decided to scratchbuild the shrouds instead of using casts from RA!?

Can´t wait for pics of the finished rifle!!!

Re: What's on your workbench?

My workbench is: finish kitchen renovation and then reward self by getting after a bunch of graflex conversions. Also want to pick up a Kobold flash so I can make that odd mash-up graflex/kobold sabre mess.

Just got kitchen lighting installed--still need to patch ceiling, paint ceiling, paint cabinets, swap out hardware, install floor---possibly wire up and hang one final light. Right now it seems sort of endless. Endless...

I can relate I am almost done on a bathroom remodel. Down to the last small details. I will be working on a blaster for the contest now though.

I've been pouring more time into my BATMAN BEGINS batsuit armoire lately. Real deal cowl, gauntlets, accurate boots, accurate cape (thanks Kevin!), new mounts inside, and a ton of detail work on the exterior. I'm like 85% there and it's already my favorite thing ever. In a few weeks I'll have the new torso armor and front face embellishments done, and maybe I can close the notebook on this one (for awhile at least ;) )

To be honest, none of the suit pieces were made by me. I just built the armoire.

I believe I lathed those for you...I thought it looked familiar!

The rifle is looking hot! Be sure to post your progress on it!

Looking great! That's a great way to display those...

Here's just one of the pieces on the bench(es) here at the moment. 1979 Alien chest, arms and hands. We're doing restoration and creating a really cool wall-mount display for it...

Thanks for posting! I saved your emails so I could give credit when I was done, but accidentally formatted the drive (Thanks Microsoft Win7!).

Re: What's on your workbench?

Making nice progress on your rifle.
Looks almost like the one I did a few years ago.

I'm finally getting to the assembly stage of my W 13 Communicators.

Re: What's on your workbench?

Pretty much, yeah. I had a local vinyl shop laser-cut the lettering, which was adhered to the mold master before making a mold of it. The letters come out in resin crisp and clean. I got the idea from some of the scale modelers on the board here and how they do simulated paneling on some of their ship builds.

That's Hellenic Letters for sure. :cool

Is meant for the letters to mean something, or they are just random placed for effect?

(Because they are not forming any words.)

Anyway, i like it! Great work.

Best i could tell, they're just tacked on there randomly. I copied the lettering on the sword Cassandra wields in Soul Calibur 3 exactly. I'm guessing the game designer who patterned the sword just wanted something cool.

Wrapped up the sword, shield, pauldrons, and medallion for my wife's DragonCon costume this year. Easily the most propwork I've ever done for one single character!
