What's on your workbench? (no Star Wars, Marvel or DC stuff)

I had finally got this project out of my head. For years I have loved the camera men from "Real Life" 1979 film and wanted to build a pair of cameras that can be worn and displayed. As you can see better in the 3D rendering is a functional 4K camera that is voice controlled by the operator. This project was a lot of fun and learning experience building this from scratch. The build took about 9 days total. A quick break down was 2 days of design and test prints, the main body took about 5 days of printing between 7 printers then lots of sanding filling priming and painting. The lens was blown in a toaster oven and took about 10 blows and dyeing to get 2 4 usable lens. I never could figure out what circuit boards were used in the original Ettinauer 226XL but I feel happy with what I was able to dig up. I wonder what ever happened to the original Ettinauers from the film? If anyone has ever come across them or know more about them I would love to here the stories.

Pretty cool how you’ve done the visor

It was hard to figure out how I was going to fabricate it. I was thinking of vacuum forming over a buck but that would probably leave ripples. I did think about slump molding it on a vacuum former but I also didn't have a larger forming machine. I remember seeing on line a guy blowing a dome and thought that would be perfect for this application. Plus I had a odd shape hole I needed this to fit, so I took a reference of the opening from the 3D model and laser cut a frame to hold the material for blow molding.

Relaxing on a Saturday night with Dire Straits's Money for Nothing.
Trying to figure out how to solve a design issue for the PKD Blaster circuit board and figuring where to get the cash and how to write an instruction manual so I can start getting these boards out the door.
