What primer to use ?

Hi all.

I've got a small piece to restore and it is painted in gloss white. I will have to sand the piece, put some filler, re-sand then primer before to finally remake a touch of paint...
My question is : the piece being white painted, do I need to primer my restoration in white primer or can I use some grey primer ?

Many thanks.

Well white paint doesnt cover very well, I would suggest the white primer if you have one, a light gray primer would work too. If that's too dark, you'll end up with an off-white or you'll have to apply several (thick) coats of white and you would soften the edges, lost details etc. I would definitely go for the white primer.
