What is your 'grail' and do you own it?

My dream is to own a DeLorean.

A reachable 'grail' is the hoverboard (currently on pre-order).

I always wanted the Gold SunStar model DeLorean and I got that 2 months ago.

Would love a full size R2D2, Vader, Pepsi perfect bottle and the newspaper used in The Toy with Richard Pryor.

My grail is an original, screen used Babylon 5 Hero PPG prop. And somehow, by being in the right place at the right time, and a whole lot of luck from the prop gods, I am fortunate enough to own one.
It also came with the original holster and extra power cap.

Terry

My grail is the illusive Darth Maul boots. I am lucky enough to own a pair and in my size for my Maul costume.

I have but 2 grail items (one day I WILL make these or win the lotto and buy them from a Profiles in History auction): a working life size R2D2 unit and Jayne Cobb's Vera. Now an R2 unit that pops out a Vera would just be byond reason.... but fun. :)

i have recently acquired my "grail"

a Wes craven signed ghostface mask (from scream)
the mask itself was never used on screen or even on set, but it is signed by wes craven. which i have wanted for years. and my luck was so excellent that i won it for free!

Indiana Jones grail diary. I have one on the way.
A 1:1 scale ark of the covenant. If I had it I don't know where I would put it.

I currently have 2 grail items. A Farscape Pulse Rifle (working on that one now) and a Stormtrooper helmet. Been wanting one of those since 1977!

I would say that between this and an all metal bladerunner blaster, would be my non stargate related grails. missed out on the metal upgrade kit for a denix mauser to ANH Han blaster. That is up there too. Just not enough dough in the world for all these cool props. Mal pistol with wood grips would be just too cool. qmx is cool but just something about metal plated plastic just seems odd and unsatisfying to me. At least the denix mauser is all metal and somewhat sturdy.

Might have my number one grail item next month. not going to jinx it until i have it in my hand.

My grail would have to be the Model 47a metal Mal pistol from Firefly. This isnt the Sidkit one - its the limited to 47 pieces replica that Badger produced over at FFP.net a few years back.

This is the absolute LAST prop that I would ever part with.

Well so far as my grail goes I've taken the first step. Started putting aside money for a Delorean. Hope to be ready to buy in 1-2 years as the deal with my wife is as long as I can do it with no credit I'm good. :thumbsup

It would have to be the BTTF DeLorean for me too. I've only started with the licence plates so far hehe.

Mine it's a complete Batman Begins suit.
At this stage I have the cowl. A beautiful piece from Coofunkcurly.
And the gloves provided by Powergyser. Need to resew these as my stupid big hands split the left glove.
I have a cape and full suit armor on its way from Coofunkcurly from his recent build.
Just need to make my undersuit and find the right set of boots. Then let the roof jumping begin!

My grail is the original Knight Rider KITT dashboard designed by Michael Scheffe. I was able to borrow an original and mold it so I can finally put it in my 1989 Turbo Trans Am and take my wife to some car shows. Now I just need the rest of the parts... LOL

My grail? Well, every guy needs a man-cave to chill out in... I would love to walk out into my back yard and climb the boarding ramp of my very own 1:1 scale Millennium Falcon! There would be an HD TV in the rec area, functional sleeping quarters, in case the Mrs. gets mad at me for building it in the first place, and I would modify the forward canopy to act as a game screen, so I can play STAR WARS X-WING from the cock-pit... and if I ever win the lottery, the Falcon will be mine... A more realistic grail for me would be Storm-trooper armor. I have wanted a set my whole life, and after 36 years of wanting, I am finally gonna put my order in next month. There is a 16 week wating period, but it's worth it. It is ANH screen-accurate, cast from an original. I can't wait to get my hands on it!

My completed grail is a screen accurate GB Proton pack. Finished this year.
My WIP progress grail is ROTJ Vader. Just started sourcing pieces for that and purchased a Gypsyboy helmet.
Next is 1:1 scale R2D2.
Probably never going to happen: BTTF Delorean.

My grail items are things that really caught my attention and love as a child.

  1. TMNT Items - Especially a full suit
  2. Jurassic Park Dinosaurs
  3. Rocketeer Rocket
  4. MIB Pulse Rifle
  5. and finally... A Cyclops Ruby Eye piece.

I wanted them as a kid and I still do.
