"EEERIC, BATH TIME!"
"I don't feel like it"

We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. Medicine, law, business, engineering, these are all noble pursuits, and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman: "O me, o life of the questions of these recurring, of the endless trains of the faithless, of cities filled with the foolish. What good amid these, o me, o life? Answer: that you are here. That life exists, and identity. That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse. That the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?

-John Keating (Robin Williams), "Dead Poet's Society" (screenplay by Tom Schulman)

GORDIE
"I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve."

-Gordie in "Stand By Me" (screenplay by Stephen King (story), Raynold Gideon &)

LLOYD
"I gave her my heart, she gave me a pen."
-Lloyd Dobler (John Cusack), "Say Anything" (screenplay Cameron Crowe)

HOMER
"It takes two to lie. One to lie, and one to listen."
-Homer (Dan Castellaneta) in "The Simpsons" (teleplay by x)

WILLIAM
"Well, it was fun."
LESTER BANGS
"They make you feel cool. And hey. I met you. You are not "cool".
WILLIAM
"I know. Even when I thought I was, I knew I wasn't."
LESTER BANGS
"That's because we are uncool! And while women will always be a problem for guys like us, most of the great art in the world is about that very problem. Good-looking people have no spine! Their art never lasts! They get the girls, but we're smarter."
WILLIAM
"I can really see that now."
LESTER BANGS
"Yeah, great art is about conflict and pain and guilt and longing and love disguised as sex, and sex disguised as love... and let's face it, you got a big head start."
WILLIAM
"I'm glad you were home."
LESTER BANGS
"I'm always home! I'm uncool!"
WILLIAM
"Me too!"
LESTER BANGS
"The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what we share with someone else when we're uncool."

-William (Patrick Fugit) and Lester Bangs (Philip Seymour Hoffman), "Almost Famous" (screenplay by Cameron Crowe)

From Broken Lizards Super Troopers: It smells like sex in here

From V for Vendetta:

V: [Evey pulls out her mace] I can assure you I mean you no harm.
Evey Hammond: Who are you?
V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what and what I am is a man in a mask.
Evey Hammond: Well I can see that.
V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation; I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.
Evey Hammond: Oh. Right.
V: But on this most auspicious of nights, permit me then, in lieu of the more commonplace sobriquet, to suggest the character of this dramatis persona.
V: Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.
[carves "V" into poster on wall]
V: The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.
V: [giggles]
V: Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
Evey Hammond: Are you, like, a crazy person?
V: I am quite sure they will say so. But to whom, might I ask, am I speaking with?
Evey Hammond: I'm Evey.
V: Evey? E-V. Of course you are.
Evey Hammond: What does that mean?
V: It means that I, like God, do not play with dice and I don't believe in coincidence.

Hudson: Let's just bug out and call it even, okay? What are we talking about this for?

Ripley: I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit....it's the only way to be sure.

Hudson: ****ing A!

I think any time Hudson is talking in that movie could go on this list. He's hilarious!

"I mean, if I knew any thing about love, I would be out there making it, instead of sitting in here talking to you guys."

-Take car. Go to Mum's. Kill Phil, grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over!-

Oh Yes, Oh Yes, Oh Yes....from any adult film....

Seriously this is my al time favorite.
Jim: Well, it got so that every ticked-off prairie punk who thought he could shoot a gun would ride into town to try out the Waco Kid. I must have killed more men than Cecil B. DeMille. It got pretty gritty. I started to hear the word "draw" in my sleep. Then one day, I was just walking down the street when I heard a voice behind me say, "Reach for it, mister!" I spun around... and there I was, face-to-face with a six-year old kid. Well, I just threw my guns down and walked away. Little ******* shot me in the ass. So I limped to the nearest saloon, crawled inside a whiskey bottle... and I've been there ever since. :lol:lol

Willy Wonka has to be one of my favorite characters ever, based solely on his words of advice.
There are so many little quotes that are brilliant in the film.

"A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men."

"Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker!"

Nice to here from a fellow wonka fan.
