No parcticular order:

1. Unbreakable - James Newton Howard
2. Tron: Legacy - Daft Punk
3. Escape from New York - John Carpenter and Alan Howarth
4. Vertigo - Bernard Herrmann
5. Koyaanisqatsi - Philip Glass

If you haven't heard any of these scores, then you could probably hear them either on YouTube or Grooveshark.

In no order:

Star Wars
Gattaca
Raiders of the lost ark
Blade Runner
The Professional

There's definitely more but I tried to keep it to five.

Yeah, Vertigo by Herrman has as much right to be in my top 5 as any of the others I put.

Well, there's a lot of Herrman's work that deserves to be recognized. I mean, look at how awesome the score for "Psycho" was, and it used only stringed instruments.

But I particularly like "Vertigo" because of how thrilling it can be in one track and saddening in another.

My list is all John Williams:
Close Encounters Of The Third Kind
Raiders Of The Lost Ark
E.T.
Jaws
Hook

Star Wars
SLC Punk
Scott Pilgrim Vs the World
TRON(2010)
Trainspotting
O Brother, Where Art Thou
Pump Up the Volume

Sorry I can't just pick 5

By times played:

song type;
American Graffiti
Phantom of the Paradise
Civil War [ken burns]
Oh Brother, Where Art Thou
The Crow

By score type;
Star Wars
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Road Warrior [not really songs but sounds good]
Terminator [both songs and score]
Predator

The real Blade soundtrack is good, not the one they released.

Ferris Bueller never released one, but I found most of the songs.

Star Wars OT
Krull
The Last Starfighter
Last of the Mochicans
Moonraker

Its hard to limit myself to 5 I have so many good ones.

The Lost Boys
Reservoir Dogs
The Big Lebowski
Last of the Mohicans
Some Kind of Wonderful

:thumbsup

Does it bother nobody else when you determine to hunt down the soundtrack of an outstanding movie and find that the tracks on the album have been altered from the score used in the film?
Case in point: The NeverEnding Story

Speaking of which; I just learned that this one's getting a reboot in 2012! Who's excited with me?
