What actor is the best cast as the superhero character they play?

I still say Glenn Danzig should've been Wolverine :lol I dunno if he can act though...Jackman certainly can, obviously!

This gets my vote as well-- I remember waaaaay back in 1993 or 4, Wizard Magazine was doing their 'casting call' (a fun monthly article of who they thought should play their favorite superheroes in a hypothetical movie)
When they were doing X-Men, even back then, everyone thought Patrick Stewart should be Prof. X!

*Edit*
In fact, after a quick google search, I found the actual list from that issue! Definitely some funny ones (Wolverine & Cable)

Xavier-Patrick Stewart
Bishop-Michael Dorn
Colossus-Dolph Lundgren
Cyclops-Michael Biehn (<---- AWESOME!!!!!)
Gambit-Jean-Claude Van Damme
Psylocke-Tia Carrere
Sabretooth-Clancy Brown
Magneto-Rutger Hauer
Jean Grey-Nicole Kidman
Wolverine-Robert DeNiro
Cable-Clint Eastwood

This would have been a much darker film. And now, I'd like to se deniro as old man Logan.

Brandon Lee as The Crow. Every other actor playing that role in the subsequent movies pale in comparison.

Though I agree with you, you know that it's different characters in each movie, right?

I actually didn't mind Vincent perez, but that movie was terrible.

The last two on that list surprise me. I always thought Eastwood would have been a perfect Wolverine but he was just too old by the time they actually made the movies. I can't really see DeNiro in the role.

Just off the top of my head and those already mentioned above:

The Best:

Superman Christopher Reeve
Professor X Patrick Stewart

The Worst:

Green Lantern Ryan Reynolds (I like the guy, just not as HJ)
Venom Topher Grace

Who I’d Like to See:

Shazam/Captain Marvel Jon Hamm

And I'm going to be strung from the highest tree but I'm going to say it anyway-- Heath Ledger as the Joker was just "OK". He was good in the role, but he didn't really blow me away. I'm one of the few who isn't impressed as much as everyone else.

+1 on the cast of Popeye!

Best:
Patrick Stewart as professor X
Samuel L Jackson as Nick Fury
RDJ as Iron Man
JK Simmons as J Jonah Jameson

Worst:
Shaq as steel
Arnold as Mr Freeze

Would like to see:
A batman movie made more like Arkham City and less like 89 or Nolan's.
Should cast Thomas Gibson (criminal minds) as an established and aging Bruce Wayne/batman and Hugh Laurie (House MD) as the riddler.

Sometimes I feel sad to miss out on what could have been...

I also really liked George Reeves as Clark Kent. As Clark he was cool beyond his time!

Also liked Michael Keaton as the Bat. Once again especially as Bruce Wayne.

I really liked micheal keaton as the bat , and i think with a different director george clooney would have been great as the bat . blade was perfectly cast with snipes . ray park as snake eyes . still have'nt gotten banner right.

Bill Bixby was a great Banner. I fully agree with most of the previous choices. Keaton was a great Bats, but I am split because I did enjoy Kilmer's take as well.

Never was an Evans fan, but man...he sold me on his portrayal of Cap.

I also thought Hugh Jackman was great as Wolverine, but I thought years ago Glen Danzig was actually up for the role, I mean many years ago.

Ditto on Bill Bixby. He is THE Bruce Banner for me.

It would be hard for anyone to replace Jackman as Wolverine, especially if it's a 56 year old Danzig.

I seem to remember scheduling conflicts kept him from fulfilling what would have been the greatest superhero movie of all time.
