Warhammer 40k Chainsword pic heavy

looks pretty solid! i'd bore the barrel vent hole out a little bit more though.

i didn't know you were on RPF either! who's the lass in the shots?

That sister of battle looks pretty good, any more pics of her???
Good job with the chainsword, how did you make it?
The only 'prop' I have about WH40K is this bucket... maybe I finish it someday...

yeah, sure

i should make a point of sharing the costume in the costume section, i might do that after comic con, when i have a few updated pics.

the chainsword was made mostly of sintra (pvc expanded rigid foam) just kind of made boxes of the stuff and attached them together with a pvc pipe in the middle.

i like how well sintra can be ground down with a belt or large drum sander.

Great stuff on here.. Nice chainsword, cool pics and love that bucket! I made a slap-dash bolter (modelled on the Space Crusade boardgame version) out of foam-core board and the grip from an airsoft Spas12.

It was made for a hobby shop window display.

I'd love to see more of your cosplay stuff - keep it comin'!

Hello,
i am new with building replica.
what material do you use to build such casts like the helmet?

i thought of clay, but are there other good working possibilities too?
thank you,

ah, and sorry for my strange english..

Awesome mutton chops :) The Warhammer costumes are top notch.
Some day I might do something about a Dark Eldar Archon costume.

@paw, these are from last years comic con, i done a "heroic" cover art version of the character ciaphas cain, this year i wanted a more accurate version, with chainsword and laspistol.

the sword weighs around 15 pounds and quite alot of it is near the tip for some ungodly reason! lucky for me i don't plan to fight with it.

still working on it.... heres progress thus far... I have all the parts done, just at this point doing the painting, and re-fitting process.
