Hehe, I wasn't that mad it didn't fit. I could tell it wasnt going to fit half way through building. I kinda rushed the rest just to have something to show as an example to give an idea how it can look.
I figured, instead of building it in paper which I already explained, I'd show the foam templates with cardboard method.
Worked out in the end. Since both would have needed the same strengthening method.

About all the unwanted parts being sorted again, if you use Change Scale instead of Recalculate Parts Layout, the pieces won't move, only change size.

awesome video. you know its all your fault i got into pep foam building lol. i always learn new tricks from you so im always waiting to see what else you have up your sleve lol . hey i noticed that when rescaling instead of using recalculate parts layout, you can also just use the ''change pattern size'' function and it wont bring in all the omitted parts.

Hey Stealth, I am really enjoying your new tutorials even if I do know some of it. I always learn something new! I feel like such a follower and like a broken record saying this but you got me into pepakura and foam building and I went on to win second place at a expo with my Iron Man Mark 6 suit. So thank you
I also had a question, when you get into the bondo stage of the tutorials could you please state some alternatives to bondo because I just re-watched your War Machine Vlog and you used a clay (I think) instead of bondo on your helmets and this probably sounds stupid to you, but I never figured out why kind of clay it was. Thanks

I have an alternative to bondo. It's not the clay you saw. That's a complete different method. I won't be using that clay this time. I won't get into it. That's oil based clay. It doesn't get hard like bondo. It's for sculpting. It's gets more complicated later on with more techniques and such.
I'm keeping the tutorial simple and I'll use body filler "bondo" so that you can most likely find the materials to use.
The alternative I'll actually show might be hard to find in a lot of countries but I'll show it regardless.

Didn't think cardboard could turn out looking so well! Looks much simpler to build than the pep version too~
I may just have to give that a go next time...but got me thinking, I wonder if paper pep combined with cardboard pep just for those beveled inward areas would work.
ARe the next episodes resin+fiberglass then body filler? Looking forward to those the most!
