War machine 1st attempt

Re: War machine 1st attempt...

I used thrust bearings on my cannon proto, and they worked perfect. You can find them in all different inner and outer diameters, metal or otherwise.[/url]

You know I hadn't really looked at thrust bearings! I saw some at my local surplus store, but they were too large a diameter. That might be just the ticket!
Thank leallee

I had the same problem. I ended up using the swivel bearings from a bar stool (no joke) with the flange cut down. I get mine from Ebay, hardware store ones are always too giant.

Great work on the cannons guys. The IP cannon just looks pretty weak to me next to these beasts. :thumbsup

Re: War machine 1st attempt...

Man that's going to be sharp . Will the fiberglass hold the weight of the actuated metal cannon? Just curious. Thinking of doing a fiberglass WM myself. Been working with foam to get in the swing of things.

No its going to be metal all the way to gun base...then the fiberglassed pep will be covering all of it.....hopefully its not going to show much

Do the retracktable plastic sheet, like they do at the base of a gear shift in a car...GM
