WandaVision

Sure! I don't find it particularly captivating or interesting. This past week's "big reveal" just cemented that fact. Literally anything can happen and it will not change my opinion about the show.
I think i'm with you on how you feel about it. I've enjoyed many parts of it, but it just isn't sparking a lasting interest in me.

Soo... the 'aerospace engineer" she kept name-dropping as if it would be meaningful when we saw them is... at best (optimistically), a skrull; at worst, no one of interest?

Not sure who's more to blame- the writers for dangling a red herring like that or the internet for grabbing a throw-away line and running with it.

I'm mostly inclined to blame the internet on this one, as I didn't get the sense it was a major character when they were first mentioned and only saw the talk about Reed Richards and all that once I started reading things on the web. Granted I could also be wrong and there could still be a big aerospace engineeer reveal in the last two episodes.

Agatha Harkness was a substantial revelation. Wow. If I'm to nitpick it would have been nice to get just a little closer to the original character design. Kathryn Hahn as Harkness is as oddball casting as ... Marissa Tomei as Aunt May. It's not a deal breaker, though.

I'm confident we haven't met the engineer yet, the Captain was merely dropping it off.

I thought so as well, but wasn't sure.

I mean, if it's not a somebody there's zero point in always referring him as aerospace engineer or whatever. In reality you'd just say, i'll call my friend bob, he's an aerospace engineer I bet he can help. And from then on you refer to him as bob. You don't keep saying 'my friend the aerospace engineer every time you reference him. In a movie/show, you do that when giving bobs name gives something away....if he's no one, it's just a flat out intentional screwing with you thing.

There’s always time for a “true form” to show through. That happens so often with witchy/magic character it’s basically a trope of its own

How many times did she actually reference them as the aerospace engineer, though. I only remember her saying that once and then only one other mention of “my guy” in another episode. Granted, I have not pored over each episode, but I really think the internet has turned this into a bigger thing than was intended.

That being said, I do think there are some interesting things to come in the final episodes.

From when I was a kid, I always remember Agatha as a good guy in the FF4 comics, someone who was a nanny to the Richards' son. Why are they portraying her as a villain here? Unless I missed some stories and she really always was a villain?

Understandable. I also didn't care for the reveal at all. Disappointing as there's an entire universe of other possibilities but it didn't ruin the show for me. There's a great opportunity to expound more on Wanda and Vision's characters, I hope they continue to in the few episodes left.

After episode 7, I really feel that every episode could be about 5 minutes long and have the same impact. It's like this was planned as a web series but they expanded for Disney +.

As to this episode specifically, the MCU has helicarriers, quinjets, robots, robotic armor, and we're supposed to be impressed with a janky moon buggy?

Also, I don't know who Agetha is and nothing leading up to the reveal made me care about her. I get that she's manipulated Wanda apparently through magic, but it really doesn't mean anything to me.

In a Very clever way too. Its Kathryn Hahn speaking but with her voice altered to a lower pitch.
Why is that clever? Why not just leave her voice unaltered if they were going to reveal it a few minutes later anyway?
