Nobody voted for it, maybe you noticed the votes below it for The Avengers.

For a very low budget independent film I thought Sound of My Voice was quite a engaging film with few good tense moments as well.

Oops...:facepalm

Well, Avengers was good. Going to be hard to beat such a crowd pleaser.

I've only seen:

1) Skyfall
2) The Hobbit
3) The Grey
4) The Dark Knight Rises
5) Taken 2
6) The Avengers
7) The Amazing Spiderman
8) Hunger Games
10) Prometheus
11) Snow White and the Huntsman

...and very disappointing:
The Cabin in the Woods

I love Les Mis. :) (the play, haven't seen the movie yet)

I like a classic as much as the next guy. But I just can't consider this Les Mis a movie if it's all singing. I consider it a Broadway musical on film—and as much as I like Crowe I just can't bring myself to go see a near 3-hour long musical. :confused

Seeing as I like the musical it doesn't bother me. Although I've heard the singing talent is a mixed bag.

Possibly because of the decision to have the singing done "live" as the scenes were shot, rather than pre-recorded and looped.
Some folks seem to like the more theatrical feel that gives, others are saying it lessens the quality.

Skyfall all the way for me. It had old classic Bond inside jokes from movies before. action packed with a Story that held up.

Cabin in the Woods gets my 2nd best pick. Great horror movie with a laughable side as well.

The Avengers : not bad movie, just a movie with a crappy story line n Action around it. Good for those little kids inside us that want to be super heroes. The ending was terrible as if they really didn't know how to end it. wasn't sure if i was watching Independents Day or something else that i cant recall at the moment that ended the same way.

My top 3 of 2012 have got to be:
1. Skyfall. Bond back at his best !!!
2. Dark Knight Rises. Awesome conclusion to an epic trilogy
3. The Hobbit.

I have heard Argo was good, but also heard it sucked. Haven't seen it yet, so I can not say anything.

TDKR was very good also

Haven't seen the hobbit yet. Hard to go to the show with all the kiddies on winter break. Damn kids are noisy as all get out at the show. I'll go see when I don't have heard punks kids while watching it.

I've seen 12 of the films on the list. My top 5 for this year would be

1. Django Unchained
2. Prometheus
3. Argo
4. The Avengers
5. The Dark Knight Rises

I get to the movies every 2 years or so :lol, from the list above I've seen, in no particular order:
TDK - only OK IMO
Hunger Games - WANTED to like it, guess I'll read the books
Avengers - almost good, I put it in the catagory with SW III, watch it with the FF button ready to get to the "good" parts :)
The Hobbit - A Good movie but not much more, so it gets my vote.
My family went to see Skyfall Christmas day, but missed it so we saw the Hobbit instead (ever gone to the movies in your bathrobe and PJs? HIGHLY recommended :) ) I'm quite certain Skyfall will be my favorite of 2012, but I won't be seeing it for a while yet

an author's sick, deluded, masturbatory fantasies....

you just described half the movies on the list....

i was kidding about twilight...i thought 2012 was a pretty weak year.....

yeah....there were several blockbusters this year....but most were mediocre at best or simply okay.....

I still need to see argo and skyfalll before i vote.....i had a chance to see a screening of argo with a q&a with bryan cranston but missed it due to being sick....:facepalm
