Voltron References - Creating Pepakura Files

Taking a break from the Blue for a few hours, this is what I have so far and how I go about building it.

Body Done, the legs are the same as the Red and Green, I included the Pre-Pep export of them and sized it to fit. Trying to keep the pep scale the same across the board.

I'll knock out the head in a bit. Ill have to figure out a way to keep the foot separate from the leg so it isn't like walking in a cast.

I did a little work this weekend. I almost have the leg unfolded, but I'm also transforming the paper peps into foam templates. Here's a look at the paper pep (with green lines showing each piece that will be replicated in foam). Then I have a copy of the newly cut out 'raw' foam piece for the top of the head with reference lines on it showing where the edge angle will need to be created, where the ears will attach and where the raised ridge will go down the center of the face. Lastly, I have another copy of that same piece showing how I've used a stone-tipped dremel sander to shape the 6mm foam into the angle I wanted for the top of the head.

Did a little foam work on the Red Lion's head this weekend... This is still pretty raw, but the conversion to foam looks good so far.

looking at doing the Black lion 2 different ways,
One keeping true to the toy and to support indiefilmgeek build, And one with Gundom like shoulders that should look well (hopefully)

In addition to this, I also roughed up the foam jaw of the RED lion yesterday.


I think I'll try cleaning this up and plasti-dip this piece before building it's mate.
