Vibro axe again. (See post #129 - #132)

The side Co2 not Co2 thingy.

The ends go into the axe. The tope one seems to go straight into the axe.

The bottom one seems to go into something and that something is in the axe.

Any idea what it is?

Yeah, it's kind of a little tapered knob thingy. I had a thought of what to use for that years ago, but it's been so long since I've read through this thread, or even looked at my axe parts, I don't really recall much about it. But yes, there is something there. (wow, this post added nothing. :lol ) I think some one said they used a cap off of a pin or something like that. I would suggest looking through the droors at the doohicky section of any hard ware store, or the plumbing section.

Ok, I'm going to try to ge some of the sculpy + bolt things in the mail tomorrow. So far I have down.

jameth1971 wants 2
SaberFreak wants 2
OdiWan7 wants 1. (please PM me your mailing address.)

Does anyone else want some. If so please PM me your address soon. (Or you can wait and see how jameth1971 castings turn out, because resin is better then super sculpy.)

If someone can share the lower part of this pic that was posted earlier we would be able to see the exact shape. Making one out of sculpy shouldn't be much of a problem...

Looks like the ends of the X are rounded off, and the walls may have a radius as well.

Re: Vibro axe again.

Well for those that have not seen them, this is what I'm offering to send out. (at top, the pic of the real one I worked off of. at bottom my original batch of super sculpty replicas. The new batch doesn't have that flaw in the on side of the +. not that it was nthat noticeble on the frist batch)

I thnk mine are close (close enough for me.) but I do think that + is a little fatter on the real part.

Okay guys I'm gonna start on my Axe this week and should have it done by next weekend. Assuming it comes out good I started an interest thread in the Junkyard in case anyone is interested. A number of details to work out but it could be fun.

Thoughts, Ideas, etc.

That is very cool. I hope everything goes well for you. Are you planning on offering them as whole kit's, finished, or will you be offering the parts seperately for those that only need some of the parts. (because they already have the rest.)

BTW, Sorry guys I didn't get to the post office this week, it's been crazy with the family in town and all, but I will get them out early this week for sure.

anyone wanting some parts may want to hold on

if you catch my drift :love

I was really just thinking about a completed Axe. For example I would need to use your great method for the end as even if I were to find the original end I doubt I could find many.

Still have not heard on the Yamaha part.

A lot still to do.

the yamaha part might not be that hard to get, if you do your home work.

A couple days ago I identified the first and only known part of the Force Pike. Some guys are very glad I did not keep that information to myself.

I guess I could just tell them to do their homework but as know one has found anything out about this prop in the last 28 years except me I thought I would share.

I think what he meant was that it's well known what and where the part comes from (Tamiya 1:6 Yamaha Midnight Special), and you can find castings if you hunt/ask around for one. I posted above one member you might be able to get a casting from. Macklin may be another. I don't think he was trying to sound elitist or unsharing. Anyone can find that info using the search function above.

im the last person that can be accused of not sharing btw.

what i meant was why not just buy the part like i have done. instead of trying to hunt down someone that will sell it to you.

and when i said do your homework it goes something like this.

find out what the kit part is from, common knowledge on here.(as mentioned above)

type the kit name into google

realise that its available all over the world because it has been re-issued

identify the sprue the part is on (c in this case)

order JUST the sprue from japan for peanuts and you have a part you can do what you want with.(sprure c also has the biker scout nose piece on it as a bonus!)

you have passed your homework for today, have a nice day.

Well I guess I am misunderstanding. As I mentioned in several posts I have gone through all the threads. I have searched for everything about the Vibro Axe and was well aware of everything about the Yamaha part.

The only thing I even ever mentioned about the Yamaha part is that I was waiting to hear back from the member that offered some. I have no idea why that sparked a snotty "do you homework" comment. To me that implies you think I have not done so which obviously I have. I always thank people who did all the hard work and research as I have several times in this thread.

When someone asks for help I assume they have already used the search option and have not been able to find what they are looking for. Or maybe they were at the hospital all day working with burn victims and only have a few minutes to find what they are looking for and do not have hours and hours to search. So I am happy to help.

I did not ask for help and only stated I was waiting to here about something.

I felt Zorg's comment was very obnoxious and his response was certainly elitist.

If I am wrong I sincerely apologize

Anyway it does not matter. I scrapped the idea. I thought it would be fun to offer a run of these but I'm gonna skip it. At least for now.
