Various Luke ESB sabers... what are the differences

Okay, I finally got my Kobold flash to work on a Luke ESB saber, but after searching and searching for various details, I am more confused that I thought.

Tauntaun, Wampa cave, Degobah, Ranch, etc...

Can someone shed some light on all these versions (and if there are more) or point me to a thread?

Pics would be great too! :rolleyes

I found this pic of Luke and noticed something about his saber.

It looks like one of the grips broke. But this doesn't jive with the pic on the parts of star wars website.
