Vader shoulder armour question.

Hi,

Just as the title says how do you attach your shoulder bells to the main body chest armour. I have seen a few methods velcro, snaps, metal hinges how do you do yours and what advantages do you see in your method?

Also anybody know how they were attached in the films?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Here's how I ultimately decided to attach mine, I think it is better than velcro, leather straps with bolts or any other method:
