Yeah, the closest that he was able to find for the red squares had a big bubble on top.
Aaww crap..

This might be interesting : I found these vintage 7-segment LED modules. I ordered a few for comparison. Does anybody know exactly what modules Texas Instruments used for these PCB'S?

What do you mean by modules, roygilsing?
Just watched a buddy open his today, no red LEDs... are the Red LEDs the rarest version?
Seems blue boards are real rare as well
Yep on both counts!
For those of us not in the USA - what's a blind box ?
I thought so too, SenorChang, but I don't think it is, but I could be wrong. It's hard to tell for certain with the original hilt photo being as blurry as it is.I may be seeing things, but on the ANH V2 prop, does the LED nearest the grips look like it had been cut down slightly?
Blue PCB with red LEDs vs. original prop

Seems clear the original prop did not have a blue PCB, lol. The tan one still looks a bit too dark. Might it be possible they used a cream Exactra 21 board? SenorChang, do you have a good close up photo of your board without the bubbles hiding the LEDs? As I look at the original prop, it seems like the LEDs might be closer together than on my prop build on the left.
If it was that cream color, I think we just might have a winner! The LEDs look like they are slightly closer together similar to the original hilt photo of the V2.
I agree that in the comparison photo the LED's seem slightly closer together on the original prop on the right when compared to the prop on the left. Has anyone tried this build with an Exactra 21 board and cut it to seven LED's?
