"V" Ships?

Gone but not forgotten.
Did anyone ever make any of the V ships bigger than the "paperweight (72nd?) scale" I've seen around?

Studio scale would rock, but if nothing else, 48th or 32nd would be pretty cool too!

I just got the DVD the other night and remembered how cool a show it was!

Hey there! I don't know about kits, but a friend of mine has one of the original filming ships. It's been a while since I saw it.

He has brought it to wonderfest a few times. He would be happy to share any info about it I'm sure.

It was about three foot or so across it I remember correctly.

Let me know it you want and I will have him know.
 
I'm not sure, I am not that big into V. It looks like a big thin tire lying on it's side. Basically smooth with greebly details added here and there all over. I think some of the detailing was even drawn on by pencil. Not sure.

Apparrently it was supposed to be a really big ship like the Star Destroyer?

Yup, they were supposed to be like 15 miles across.

I know recasts of the mothership were around at one time...

My company shot the saucer models and matte shots.

The "V" Mother ship saucers were scaled to be three miles across.

Sarge , there's always stuff on the bay in studio scale , mainly the different shuttle versions. I think Korbanth may have done some kits at one time.

I would pay big bucks to get a casting of a mothership at a 3-foot size. If anyone has any way to get such a price for me, please let me know and I'll make it worth your time. Thanks.

Thank you for the warm welcome.

Per request, I have attached a few photos.

We had to do several sizes of saucers to match Greg Jein's 30" model. One image is of (now director) Dale Fay sealing a wood model spun on a wood lathe.

The shot of the mother ship and skull has a saucer spun out of soft foam. This was actually created for "V" before Greg build his model for "V-The Final Battle".

One shows our "paint scraper" shot of Jein's model.
