Chris is that a felt pilgrim hat? One you can predominantly find online??

I actually made this by butchering an old cavalier hat and adding a new straight brim. The pilgrim hats are too tapered at the top... I still have plans to make a newer better version when I can find the time. I think it should be about the same dimensions, only about 2" taller than the one I have.

I think this is a found item. I just haven't found them yet. I think they are belt carriers. You know the leather loop next to your buckle that keeps the tail of your belt from flapping around? Some fancy dress styles have them out of metal. And I swear I've seen them with the shape on the dagger holders. I've been meaning to try ohiotravelbag, as tandy turned up nil, but haven't gotten around to it yet. It takes a good dedication of time and energy to search thru their online catalog.

what did you use for your current belt, it looks great and seems in the picture to work great.

I custom made that. I picked up a single shoulder of 6oz. at tandy and developed the shape in a cardboard mockup which I transfered to the leather, dyed black, etc. It actually closes in the back similar to the jedi belts. Then I backed it with some soft black upholstery cowhide and barged it in the center and stitched around the edges. I actually think I outdid myself on that one. Turned out really well.

well, more specifically, how did you attach the knife loops and did you just use sheet metal or something?

I bought a couple 1/2 wide aluminum strips from Lowe's and cut them to length, bent and hammered them into shape with pliers and any other objects I could find to accomlish the task. Then discovered I had to bend them back open to get them thru the slots I cut in the belt. Pain in the keester.

great costume...now i need a mask...darth mule, where did you get yours?

i finally saw the movie last nite...not sure how it slipped past me...i really liked it

I too had not seen the movie until last night. I was waiting to comment in this thread until I saw the film and now that I have seen it I have to say your costume looks pretty darn good.
