USS Bozeman

I pulled out the pieces to repackage and send to Federation.... I decided to scrap the parts except the cannon. I spent a couple of hours rebuild a new idea for the torrent based on the faint detail of the screencaps. I know that all of you will like the new parts. I'm loading the pics of the new parts now from my camera to my pc. Ill have links to the picks in just a few minutes... I'm excited about the new look. Chris your client will appreciate the new look.

Here ya go!!!

The first pic has the original torret along side the resin supplied bottom that came with the kit and the cannon. I removed the dome, recessed the center and lined the bottom with clapboard styrene sheeting and elevated the dome and thickened it some. I have a little bit of filling and a little detailing left. Tracy will have it to cast in a day or so. Take a look. Let me know what you think of the rough parts.

I think this kit will be next for me. Right now I have 2 Space 1999 Eagles on the bench but they will be done in a couple of days!

I currently have my scratchbuilt Iyaaran shuttle on the bench to finish and I'm working on accurizing a Romulan warbird from the studio model. I think that I going to build a crashed Klingon bird of prey diorama. In October, I'm building a 1/537 scale HMS bounty with the bay doors for a collector in Nevada.

Hey Chrisiall! I have a "new version" Reliant and the same problem for the back piece exists. It's too wide for the rear end of the model. I'm sure you and I came up with the same answer to make it fit. So the problem exists for both old and new. I just wanted to give you that heads up.

I'll use their resin answer for my first Bozeman. But I think with the second ine I'll do I'll scratch build it. Gotta Love a challenge!

Mike

I had the same problem. I have some pictures somewhere of how I modified the resin part. This piece I had a part in building. My old friend Andy Henshaw, pass this part back and forth till we got what you have now. He lives in Australia.
