I know this isn't a popular opinion, but I don't think it is fair that online businesses largely do not collect sales tax. It gives them an advantage over businesses in communities.

I understand expecting every business to collect sales tax for all addresses and distribute it to the states/cities isn't realistic though.

If they have a physical presence in CA, then they would be required to charge CA sales tax (not WI) and remit it to the CA franchise tax board. By charging WI sales tax on an item purchased in CA, they are scewing it up and if audited would have to repay CA their owed sales tax. This is, of course, is assuming they have a presence in CA. If there is no presence in CA, they should not be collecting WI sales tax on the transaction.

The Anovos boxes have a WI address.

I believe orders shipped to CA addresses will get charged CA sales tax and orders shipped to WI may get charged WI sales tax. WI may not enforce this though.

This is an area that really needs to be changed to fit the current economy. It doesn't make sense for lawmakers to put businesses in their area at a disadvantage. However some politicians are unwilling to ever propose making anyone pay "new" taxes for political reasons.

I definitely agree that EU customers wish they were only getting charged these amounts.

I was charged $12 for the kylo, $22 for the FO stormtrooper, and now $33 for the FO tie pilot.

That is odd. Mine vary some, but not that much. I was charged $33 for FO TIE and $24 for Kylo.

Anovos does have a presence in CA, they ship some items from there, which is why they have to charge CA sales tax if you are buying from there.

The pictures of the anovos vader looked good but I don't like how they combined all 3 vader helmets to make this one. Even with a 10% discount code the cost is about the same as a darth ugly so i will probably skip the anovos and consider darth ugly or quasi or possibly the efx vader if it turns out to be very good for injection molded plastic.

How much was the vader tier 1 pricing?

Did anovos talk about their ghostbusters line at wonder con at all because in one of the photos in the first post has a flyer for the ghostbusters line. I am curious what they will be selling and for how much. I always wanted a proton pack but I know the anovos will be spend but if they have a decent priced trap I might get that.

There was a tier 1 on the vader? How much?

Yea I didn't like the whole 3 elements either it simply doesn't make it vader to me thus will just go with EFX

Any other info on that Millennium Falcon? I assume its the small version they were planning on releasing a few years back but never did? It looks awesome if it ever actually sees the light of day.

There were no talk about their Ghostbusters line yet all they had was a bookmark with a photo of the proton pack.

On the Falcon, yes it's the small scale one that is made out of metal and will have light up features. I got to carry it and it weighs a good amount. I was told that price point would be around $450

The EFX Vader looks nice for the price point they've discussed, but wow, at $450? I dunno, that Falcon looks....chunky, with not terribly exciting paint work.

Now for the AMAZING news, I was secretly shared that there will only be ONE phasma suit being made for episode 8 and it will be made by Anovos thus yes, if you want a screen accurate episode 8 phasma you can be able to get it from the makers themselves.

Yup Lich is correct thus seems that Anovos found a loop whole and decided to make stand alone helmets with the agreement that they can not be the same nice quality as EFX (since EFX can then say that it is now TOO nice for a costume and consider prop) which in a way now hurts EFX. They are both business and its nothing new for a company to screw over another to get ahead its every man for themselves in the business world but that still does not make it right especially when these 2 businesses are supposed to be on the same team.
