UPDATED! Lots of new Captain America pics! SPOILERS AHEAD !!!

Aside from the USO uniform/costume, the original comic costume will not make an appearance. However, I did read that he may end up with a new uniform by the end of the film before or after the credits, I don't know.

Yeah, saw the Iron Man and Hulk stuff, but just didn't know what was 'canon' for the CA origin.

Also, is that Hugh Jackman at one point being grabbed by the collar of a suit? Kinda looks like him, and I know Wolverine and CA crossed paths.

It can't be because as of right now FOX has the rights to the Wolverine character

If anyone seen Wrestlemania 27 the other night, Rey Mysterio came out dressed like Captain America. Not movie related but still pretty cool.

Re: Chris Evans - not a stunt double - in the Captain America suit

I love that it's all in WWII.
Is it? You can hardly tell. I know one of the people they hired as a historical consultant, They ignored everything he gave them and he soon quit in disgust. From what I understand, you’ll leave the movie wondering who we really fought in WW2, as there might actually be no “real” Germans in the film anywhere. Red Skull in my opinion would be far more menacing in a SS uniform (even though they stopped wearing the black ones for the duration of the war). I like a good comic book movie the same as anyone, but the reality of WW2 doesn’t need embellishment. You could have dropped Captain America into a movie that looks like “Saving Private Ryan” and it’d be just as cool. Look at the start of “Hellboy” which was very well done. I guess it’s a matter of the designers of the film needing to justify their paychecks. For example, there’s simply no need for weapons that didn’t exist in WW2 in this scene.

those guns look cool and probably pack an imaginary punch, but are not at all necessary as p51 stated. You sir said it all, with what can and will go wrong with this film. I've seen too many stills of Hydra all decked out with gadgets that neither impressed me, nor did I really care about the wow factor of his world here. From what they set up here and the psuedo-technology that is advanced for 1943/44 I can tell the production efforts were not in belieability and drawing you into history, but creating an alternate realm that I fear won't make the cut in terms of overall atmosphere and enjoyment. I hope the film proves me wrong on all accounts, as I really am rooting for the all of Marvel and their characters I grew up reading and drawing. As Thor glady surprised me two weeks ago, I hope Captain America does the same.

While I might agree that a bit of realism might make a better film. I'm still at a loss when folks forget something important:

This is still a FICTIONAL COMIC BOOK movie... reality and "super soldier serum," flying boomerang shields and red white and blue costumes on the front lines of WWII is not REALITY, it most definitely is embellishment. It's not a film marketing itself in a Saving Private Ryan fashion... it's a movie about a comic book superhero.

Again, I'm not saying a more realistic Captain America film might not be good. But, I think we're all aware that the film they've been making is not going to be a rated R (as a realistic war movie should be), with realistic battles - Marvel is interested in building their movie universe. And that Universe has Hydra - a copyrightable villian that they own and can profit from and use as they wish.

Does it make it wrong? No. It's not pretending to portray real events, it's a fictional take on WWII.

(And I really don't think this film can live up to the high standards of Thor, Iron Man and the rest).
