Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man 4’ Gets Official Title, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ Ahead of Summer Filming

How much time do MCU films need for post production once principal photography has wrapped? If the release date is 7/31/26 and filming doesn't start until the summer, that might be cutting it close.

April fools joke?
I was hesitant when I saw it posted first thing this morning on Socials, but it looks like it was originally announced at Cinemacon yesterday, the 31st, and just hit traction today, there are Reddit posts and some social media posts from 17 to 18 hours ago talking about it if you Google it. It has been posted on Marvel.Com:
'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' and 'Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse' Unveiled at CinemaCon 2025

They also apparently announced that Beyond The Spider-Verse will now be scheduled to hit theaters in Summer of 2027.

I was slowly losing interest in the MCU sometime during phase 3. You could sense things were getting too formulaic but I never lost interest in Spider-Man. I can't say I've loved the MCU Spider-Man as much as the Sony versions but overall I enjoyed them. I liked Homecoming. I thought Far From Home was average though I liked the Mysterio fights. It was great seeing Toby, Andrew, and everyone else back again in No Way Home but I thought the movie could've been written better, especially Peter's (Holland) character (Same goes with Far From Home). I was happy with the way No Way Home ended though. Heartbreaking for Peter in-universe, but I've been ready to see Spider-Man get away from the Avengers and Stark Tech and to grow up and do his own thing. I agree with the sentiment that Spider-Man stories work best when he has to figure things out on his own. I loved the nearly comic accurate final suit and am glad it's back to no one knowing his identity. The crossover stuff has its place but I much prefer standalone Spider-Man movies.

Now, if they do a team up movie with Daredevil or the F4 or the X-Men separate from the main line Spidey movies where it's limited in scope and not a huge spectacle, I might be down for that.

Also, I dig that title font.

I liked the ‘introduction’ of a new Spider-man chapter at the end of ‘No Way Home’ , the nod at the comic (suit), having his own apartment and having to do ‘maintenance’ on his own suit (the window shot with Peter sitting at the sewing machine).
Personally I prefer the stand-alone movies as well, and I cannot wait to see this new movie. I’ve got a 40 year Marvel fandom celebration coming up and I still love the webslinger stories like nothing else

I don’t know if it’s true but I’ve seen a girl casted as

Curious if this is the route they go

I hope the Rhino gets another chance; we never got to see the rest of the fight. Glued to the seat as it started…and then it was an open ending :cautious:
And a proper full-suit introduction of the Scorpion as hinted in Spider-man Homecoming:cool::p
Curt Conners in Tobey McGuire was comic-book-perfection; I would not have had a problem with that choice

Definitely hope to see (Vincent D’Onofrio as) the Kingpin (since he has already been introduced in Daredevil series).
I have John Semper’s ‘1990 Animated Spider-man’ cartoon on dvd (the only one I was immediately hooked on) and there was an episode called ‘Framed’ I thought would be ideal to introduce him to Peter: as Peter goes to look for a new job, he litterally bumps into Richard Fisk in the streets and Fisk takes a liking to him. He employs him, but as time progresses, Peter finds out more and more about his new boss…until David and Goliath confront eachother…at the top floor of the Chrysler building:cool:(y)boom

After the Kingpin has been taken in (which we could all assume won’t last long, because he has connections and money), the link to the next installment at the end of the movie could be the introduction to the Sinister Six who would be hired by Fisk to take on Spider-man…

Just my 2 cents of course
