My friend and I stopped by Navy Pier this afternoon before the big Dark Knight premier here in Chicago today and I got a few nice pics of the vehicles. I may be one of the only people there to get shots of the front of the Batpod and back of the Tumbler. It was roped off but I managed to get a security guard to get the shots I wanted.

I'm now officially into overhype mode over this film. I can almost jump out of my skin I want to see it so badly.

I figured you might.

I kept thinking of someone I recognised there who was casually talking to a cable news anchor from here as I was taking pics of the Batpod. I couldn't place who he was but later on when I saw pics on the tely of Christopher Nolan at the premier, I was pretty sure it was him standing behind me. I knew what he looked like but didn't even think of him when he was most likely standing right in front of me. :rolleyes I would have loved to have even a short casual chat with him.

Those are some sweet pics. We were only allowed to see the front and one side of the car and back and one side of the bike. The rest was roped off.

Some of that detail work is incredible on both vehicles. We've come a long way from scary fiberglass and bondo bodies. Remember the Total Recall cars? :lol

It seems nowadays I don't even bother walking around with my camera anymore. :lol I find that there is SOMEONE that will ALWAYS take better (and more) pics than I could ever imagine of whatever. The good ole flickr site never lets me down.

Oh and yes, I saw the IMAX last night, and it was quite an astonshing film. Everyone I know, batman fan or not is going to see this film. It's a whole new era of Batman.
