I'm do done with the Sookie Bill/Eric love story. Move the eff on will ya? I can deal if she gets in the sack with Alcide, but enough of the vamp love story.
It'll be interesting to see where they take Lafayette next season. I hope he doesn't loose his edgy drag queen persona.
Aside from a small interest in Sam's character, I could really care less about the rest of the cast. They haven't been developed enough to make me care enough about them or they chase their tale doing the same thing over and over that they've become boring.
I'll watch it because I like it enough to continue to do so, but I hope they revive some of the umph it's lost real quick.
That's about where I am. Part of me is kinda glad Tara's dead because it at least means that one way or another, several characters will be forced to evolve. The rest of 'em, though...I dunno. They're pretty bland.
Jason? Still a knucklehead and all the crap that happens to him just washes off like water from a duck's back.
Andy? Don't care. He's on V, he's not on V, whatever. Andy's the "comic relief" and I'm about tired of it.
The hints at what might happen with Terry are sorta interesting, but Arlene's still kind of a flake, so I'm a bit bored with that.
Sam at least has some potential, but I could easily see him backslide. The stuff with Tommy was interesting, sorta, but got tiring. I'm glad they knocked Tommy off.
The werewolf and vamp politics are interesting, and I'd like to see more of that. But the faery stuff I don't really give a crap about. Although it seems we'll see more of that with Andy next season. Yawn.
Witches I'm done with. Fiona Shaw did a terrific job with some pretty weak material...but it's still weak material.
And the love triangle....good lord...MOVE ON. It's boring. Maybe they don't move on in the books, but seriously, enough already. I just don't care.
My biggest gripe with shows like this is the whole "characters keep chasing their tails/treading water" thing. you think a story's going somewhere, and then, bam. You realize you're actually just on some gerbil wheel and are pretty much right back where you started at the beginning of the season. I've had similar complaints about Dexter for a few seasons now.
I dunno. I guess the writers must be under a lot of pressure to fill space, like I said. Otherwise, I just cannot for the life of me see the effing point in half the subplots they throw out and then ignore (like were-panthers).
