TRON: Uprising Series Discussion

*Edit:

Okay, I mis-remembered, I only have 32-33 tracks. I missed one in my compilation called "Flynn Remembers" which fits in I think between 2-3. I need to check the film, but I think it's the track they play when detailing when kevin went missing, and they play the news clips. Either that, or its when he has the "video flashback" to young Sam in his Grid house. I omitted it because it's... really repetetive. They could have cut 2 minutes out of it and it would have been fine. :)

Anyhoo, here's the main Chronological list of tracks...

01 - Overture
02 - The Grid
03 - The Son of Flynn
04 - Encom Part I (Special Edition CD)
05 - Encom Part II (Special Edition CD)
06 - Alan Bradley's Message (Unreleased track)
07 - Recognizer
08 - Armory
09 - Arena
10 - Round One (Special Edition CD)
11 - Rinzler
12 - The Game has Changed
13 - Outlands
14 - Father and Son (iTunes Exclusive)
15 - Adagio for Tron
16 - Nocturne
17 - Outlands, Part II (iTunes Exclusive)
18 - End Of Line
19 - Reflections (Special Edition CD)
20 - Castor (Special Edition CD)
21 - Derezzed
22 - Fall
23 - Sea of Simulation (Amazon Exclusive)
24 - Solar Sailer
25 - Rectifier
26 - Disc Wars
27 - C.L.U.
28 - Arrival
29 - Flynn Lives
30 - Sunrise prelude (Nokia Ovi Exclusive)
31 - TRON Legacy
32 - Finale

*whew* :)

Now, if you _really_ want to get technical, you can also add...

"Seperate Ways (Worlds Apart)" by Journey
and
"Sweet Dreams (are made of this)" by the Eurythmics

Between tracks 6-7.

There's a few other tracks which are similar or _slightly_ tweaked versions of a couple of the above tracks. I think they were intended to be bridges between parts, but that's just a guess.
I didn't spend much time listening to them to determine where (if anywhere) they fit in the timeline.

The "other" tracks are...

Trailer Opening (3:03)
Flynn Remembers (3:03)
City Reveal (2:01) [kind of slightly darker/moodier version of Sunrise Prelude. It might fit in before 07 - Recognizer]
Victory (2:24)
Battle (1:22) [Similar to track 11 - Rinzler, near the end. I need to check, but it might be before that track in the film.]
Alan Bradley's message (0:44)(Which I added into my personal collection.)

I read several places it was cancelled, including a tweet about it by Charlie Bean. Disappointing for sure.

He (Charlie) didn't say that it was cancelled, only that it hadn't been picked up for a second season yet. He did seem a bit hopeful that it could happen.

Until he flat out says that the show is cancelled, I will believe.

Say it ain't so. Every show I like gets cancelled.

You too!?!?

I thought it was only ME that happened to!

Interesting that the Clone Wars goes on forever (granted, that was backed by Lucasfilm at the time and NOT Disney...) and Disney cancels Tron.

Of course, the 1130pm-midnight time slot doesn't help. :angry

Other shows have gotten a reprieve by starting a letter writing campaign or petition.

Maybe we ought to send Disney broken Compact Discs in the mail with a note that says something like "Don't give up the fight! Keep Tron Uprising on the air!"

Or more simply... "Tron Lives! Keep Tron Uprising on the air!" :)

The time slot is crazy. Like they put the show there to die. This isn't like Adult Swim and anime shows like Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex.

Are there any differences between the Amazon and Itunes releases of the Uprising soundtrack?

Amazon's is less than $10 in digital form. Kind of a bummer they didn't do a mass market release as I own the other two (Legacy and Reconfigured).

I also can't believe they release the soundtrack and then a DAY LATER cancel the series. Good marketing there guys!

I ordered the Amazon Music On Demand CD and it comes in tomorrow so I will post pics of what the "physical" version looks like ie, printed cover and whatnot. I also wish they would have made a retail version available.

I don't know of any difference between the Amazon and itunes release. I was initially going to get the Amazon version which gives you all the tracks and a digital booklet. Is there a big price difference in the itunes one?

Plus, I still don't want to believe that Uprising is cancelled. :(

Well worth the extra money paid to have this

The product far exceeded what I thought an On Demand CD would be. This is really no different than one you would buy in a "brick & mortar" store

Then you take the wrapper off and...

Wow this is a bummer. I first read that Tron Uprising was slated for a 2nd season and now I see that its been cancelled. So episode 18 is the last one. Charlie Bean is lobbying for a DVD release but who knows if that will happen. either way Im super bummed. It has to be one of the best animated series ever for TV. I hope and pray it comes to DVD.

crud!! If I'd known the cd version looked like that
I'd have paid the extra $6! thanks for not having
any product photos Amazon!

Just saw "Check Point Beginning of the Year Event - January 26, 2013" last night. Very bitter-sweet watching where this series is heading, only to know it's going smack right into a light-wall. :cry

Hey guys, if you look around online you'll find out that the complete score to Legacy got leaked around Christmas time. I have a copy of it and it's absolutely amazing to finally listen to all of the tracks. :) My favorite track is "Quorra Decides", which is the song that plays when Quorra tells Sam about the End of Line Club and Flynn has his dream about younger Sam. That track's so atmospheric and reminds me of the classical music Kubrick used for 2001 and The Shining.

Back on topic, I got my Tron Uprising CD in the mail today and I'm absolutely loving it so far. Joe Trapanese is an absolute genius!

God, please God, do not let Disney cancel TU in a way we do not get any proper ending to the story... Yeah, the ratings number are really low, but the series is really awesome ( come on, the train chase in ep 17 ? Paige's story in ep 18 ? I was on the edge of my seat... ). Too bad it does not get the audience it deserves... A shame, really. :(

Just read this. Pretty cool update:

Producer Edward Kitsis has offered a small glimmer of hope for the show. He says the show isn't cancelled yet, offering the following. "“I don’t know what the future [of Tron: Uprising] is now. I know at the present, I can say we need more viewers....The problem is, not enough people are watching it...At this point, I don’t believe its fate has been decided. So if people keep watching, then there’s still a chance. Please watch. Tell your friends!”
