TRON: Uprising Series Discussion

"Tagged" ep still good as ever, with the " first renegade " subplot going on. In fact, the previous episode was probably the weakest yet, since that trapped guy is really from nowhere. Let's see where this subplot leads us to.

"State of Mind" aired a day or so ago and it's one of the best of the season. Definitely my favorite lightcycle chase so far, with the chase from "Identity" coming in a close second.
The team-up that occurs works well with the story. Can't wait to get back home to watch it 3-4 more times.

It's been nice not having a holiday break in the show. I guess we had it earlier. There's another show scheduled next Sunday night as well.

And one week from today, the soundtrack comes out!

Uprising Soundtrack Audio CD is available for Pre-Order NOW for $14.98 with 2.98s&h ($17.98 shipped!)

I already paid for my Pre-order. Come the 8th I will prolly get antsy and not be able to wait and download the mp3's from Amazon too. Haha

TRON: Uprising (Music from and Inspired by the Series):Amazon:Music

I noticed that this is a weird physical release. From Amazon:

CD-R Note: This product is manufactured on demand when ordered from Amazon.com.

Anyone ever ordered something like this from Amazon? I hope it's not just burning the MP3 files to disc and making a quick photocopy of some credits.

I'd like to know this myself.

I've been on the fence about ordering 'The Maxx' on DVD for this same reason.

From what I've gathered, yes, that is what it is. The tracks are burned to a CD by a publisher and put into a jewelcase with slipcase art. The only thing I'm unsure of is if the "slipcase art" will be the same as the "digital booklet" that is included with the regular downloadable tracks.

Either way, I have the (Audio CD) on order from Amazon and it should be here from 11th - 14th. So as soon as I get it I will post up with some pics and let everyone know.

Watched "State of Mind" 3 more times today...love it!!

Cool. Whatever suit in charge should have released the complete Tron Legacy soundtrack with this Uprising soundtrack. Make it limited if need be. A missed chance to do something cool since the complete Legacy soundtrack still hasn't been released yet.

I know, I believe it would have sold well. Probably better than "Reconfigured".

I was lucky enough to have a friend that got all the unreleased bonus tracks from all the different exclusives that were released and he gave them to me. But, I still would love to have a COMPLETE T:L Soundtrack, including Journey and The Eurythmics, in chronological order.

" State of mind " was awesome, and I loved the red-haired, red-eyed Mara... too bad it was only a one-episode story. :p

Agreed, really enjoyed 'State of Mind' and looking forward to the next episode trying to...

...find the scientist who went AWOL

From Amazon on these on-demand CDs:

"All products are manufactured from original source materials (e.g., for audio products, uncompressed CD-quality audio)."

Reconfigured style tracks have shown up:

"Cole Plante is the Hollywood Records' rising EDM star who at age 16 is following in the footsteps of dance pioneers, Daft Punk. His new song from the upcoming soundtrack for the animated series TRON: Uprising (out 1/8) titled, "Rezolution" debuts today on VIBE. With its sweet synth lines darted up by bullet drum patterns, Cole continues the TRON dance music tradition that Daft Punk brought to the last feature film's soundtrack. Did we mention he's 16?"

V Premiere! Cole Plante "Rezolution" | Vibe

Walt Disney Records has shared about a third of one of the tracks from its upcoming release of the soundtrack to ‘TRON: Uprising‘ which will be available to own on January 8, 2013.

The title of the track below is ‘Lightbike Battle (3OH!3 and JT Remix)’ which clocks in at 4:43 on the soundtrack. It is one of 20 tracks all featured on or inspired by the Disney XD animated series. With exception to ‘Rezolution’ by Cole Plante, all tracks are credited to the show’s composer, Joseph Trapanese (remixes by 3OH!3 & JT, David Hiller and Opiuo are also included).

Absolutely loved the last episode "Welcome Home". Not as much as the last episode but this one had a "suspense" take on it.

Yeah, legacy soundtrack was released right around the time
of the film, but you had to buy like 6 copies to get all the
"exclusive" additional music tracks from all the different vendors .

I ended up hunting online for the missing tracks and then reediting
the track order to be correct to how it was in the film.

kind of a pain. Sadly, you can't fit all the tracks on a regular audio
cd. The "complete" list has like 36 tracks. :)

Cool. I didn't like the idea of paying for simple MP3s on a CD.

That's why I haven't picked up the CD yet. I have the limited record which is almost complete. It's missing two tracks I believe. It came with a download coupon for the CD tracks missing the record's extra tracks. Sometimes I think these music companies are incompetent. There are people like me that want to own high quality versions of soundtracks. I love the La La Land and Intrada releases. Releasing incomplete versions at retail prices is crazy when these companies allow sites like youtube to put entire soundtracks/albums up on their site.

You can listen to the entire uprising soundtrack at aol:

Thanks. I think this soundtrack might be missing that "Identity" episode cue that I like. I need to listen to it again in the episode. I noticed something similar but I'm not sure. I'm stopped watching the show too so I don't know how complete this is but it sounds awesome.

Something I must have missed here... There is a limited cd that had more tracks than the normal release plus the *chase* tracks?

I thought I had all the tracks available, and while mine won't fit on a single cd, I definitely don't have 36.

Details?

Not a CD a record. Vinyl LP. The site is offline now. The limited record is only missing the two iTunes bonus tracks. Usually these are slow sells then they shoot up in price afterwards. Inception and Dark Knight are like that too.

Wiki helped. I have all 31, but didn't realize my playlist had two missing because of the CD length. (using iTunes to burn a cd)

Thanks.

When I can get on the other computer, I'll compile a track list of the ones
I have. I eliminated 2-3 additional tracks because they were only very slightly different than
the regular ones. There was also another track that was the music from the
trailer I believe.

I think there were 5 official "bonus" tracks, 2 iTunes exclusives,
2 Amazon exclusives, one I think was a cell phone company,
Nokia? I can't recall off the top of my head. I'll get the list up.

Regarding the latest episode of the series, Wow, don't trust the General!
I think he eliminates as many of his own troops as the resistance does. :)
