thanks i realy appreciate your help!Rinzlertron.
Regarding your armor, I just wanted to chime in quickly:
If you want it to look more like the movie, I highly recommend getting a can of the black Plasti-Dip spray.

It is a latex spray primarily used to seal and create a rubberized coating. A lot of guys have used this for batman armor, weapon grips etc.
NOTE: If you choose to try it, spraying it at the recommended distance would give you a GLOSS finish.
To get a MATTE finish (what you want) you would spray it from about 3 feet, allowing it to mist the product. You have to do a lot of thin layers (9-10?), allowing it to dry fully in between. But the end result looks quite nice. And it is pretty flexible.
*edit* I went back and read the beginning of this thread, and saw you were initially advised to get this, but instead opted for the krylon. Was that because it was cheaper? If you want to tone down the shine you could either use the satin krylon, PLASTI-DIP, or attempt to buff the paint finish with a VERY high grit sandpaper (automotive finish-grade). However, my recommendation is STILL Plasti-dip (spraying from a distance, the cap's color and gloss is accurate).
ya thats what i meant by LED tape, i meant EL tapehow bout el tape?
hmmmm where i should i get it?You should go for a small piece of el sheet cut for the four cubes on the top, and a small piece for the middle of the lower torso, and maybe the circles as well!
most likely i will use both EL wire and EL tape on mine, and maybe even that EL sheet that he was talking about. i might use some on my discs but im going to have to glue them to the outside because im using the cheaper frisbee ones so i can stick them together and tear them apart easy.Thats cool wire has awebsite with fairly good prices. I am going to use el wire to light my rinzler disc
i know and thats what i love about them! and their so much dang fun to throw at someone! my freind said he saw one at the store after i had bought mine, and i dont pay attention to the packaging they put them in, but he said the warning on it was "WARNING: please do not derezz your friends with this identity disc." i thought that was pretty sick....The friisbee ones are a little more accurately sized than deluxe models
i might just glue it to the outside of the disc. im not sure though. im not to worried about the discs though, mostly the chestpiece but i think its coming along great other than the painting so far.Are they hollow enough to allow lights?
probaly a little bit more of that latex gloss paint i was already using and then like a flat black paint that i have so it will look like the plastidip stuff and have a rubber texture. Are tou using plastidip or that paint that's bottle look likw shaving cream?
