Tron Legacy: Flynn Lives

I received my postcards as did Michael and David. Both my boys are pretty psyched on the old film and really looking forward to the new film. Yep, they both think highly of the movie x-wing aircraft as well.

Man... Now I want my Postcards already

There's a new Tron Legacy Theatrical Trailer that was revealed at comic con, and can be accessed through the "Flynn Lives Identity Raid" sub site.

Go to www.flynnlives.com/identityraid/

You need to rotate the five combination locks (left to right) in order to gain access. Here's how you have to rotate them (from the Unfiction Forums) as revealed on www.movieviral.com

1: 2 o'clock
2: 12 o'clock
3: 9 o'clock
4: 10 o'clock
5: 5 o'clock

When you've adjusted them, click the play button at the bottom. You will then be asked to sign in to your FlynnLives acct, then you will be able to watch the trailer.

Bonus, you also receive a new "Identity Raid" badge for you Badges & Honors list.

For those of us who love to find out anything & everything about viral marketing, the best site I've found is www.movieviral.com

They keep up on the latest viral marketing sites for: movies, bands, book, videogames, and more.

Flynn's Arcade is insanely great! I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to brave the comic con traffic!!

BTW those second set of codes were released a month or so back for anyone that has been following, just so you don't have to reenter them all again

I'd really wish I could be there... The amount of creativity for this campaign is just awesome.

Hope Disney will do the same with the Haunted Mansion Del Toro film, I then could die a happy man. :p

Here are my pics from Flynn's Arcade

Flynn's Arcade 2010 - a set on Flickr

Visitors to San Diego during SDCC 2010 (San Diego Comic Con 2010, as if you didn't know, silly!) were treated to the immersive experience of Tron Legacy.

Located offsite in the Gas Lamp District, Flynn's Arcade was part of Disney's marketing campaign for it's upcoming movie, Tron Legacy.

Note, there were TWO different experiences; one for visitors who participated in the ARG and the other for the general public. Below is a description of what the general public experienced, but the photos I'm sharing is a mash up of both experiences.

Visitors started their journey into the digital world with a visit to Flynn's Arcade, a fully built out 80s arcade, complete with classic coin-ops as Space Invaders, Marble Madness, Track and Field, Galaga, Asteroids, Pac Man and Kevin Flynn's most popular game, Space Paranoids!

After 20 minutes of free play, visitors were taken through a secret passage behind a Space Paranoids machine. Through the dark, they uncovered a room that Kevin Flynn used to create the grid. On one side of the room is Kevin Flynn's dusty terminal, which has been counting up for 20 years. On the other side is what looks like a laser.

After a minute or so of standing in the small dark room, the laser activated and visitors were transported into the digital world! Doors were swung open and visitors walked through a tunnel with swirling light. As they turned the corner of they entered a light and music filled club, the End of Line Club.

You know, a picture is up on the HelloFlynn.com website similar to this one (not the same one though). I already copied it. I figured it'd be a great simple replica to include in a Tron Legacy section of a collection.

YenChih Lin- Good luck with the game and I hope you get your postcards. I'm still waiting for mine (and am beginning to wonder if they'll ever get here).

Here is something you won't see on other sites (at least I don't think so).....an unobscured video of the Tron multimedia clip playing on the wall of the End of Line Club, without the walls of the bar or the top of peoples heads.

Oh, just ignore what that person in the background is saying at the end of the video.
