Tron Legacy: Flynn Lives

I've found a bigger version of the billboard featuring Garrett Hedlund, that was posted on IGN, but too small.

Do you have the achievement badges?

Yeah, which is why I played the game a second time, because the first time I played it, I was using Safari and even after logging in, it didn't register. The second time I played it, I used Firefox, and it registered (and my FlynnLives.com profile shows all four badges: Ride On, Needle Threader, Grid Power and Circuit Pro, such as they turned up when I was playing them).

I finally got them! WOO HOO! :D

okay, i was watching the new footage coming out of comic con and am beginning to think that by the time the film comes out, there won't be anything left to see [al la ironman]

i love participating in all of this viral awards program, but i don't want to be completely spoiled by december... perhaps it is too late already.

Added some of pics of the clues hanging in the End of Line Club. I believe there were six of them. You had to use the EOLC coaster as a decoder and place it correctly on the clue to get the code. You then used the codes on Hello Flynn and uncovered new images, including the pic CB was referring to of Kevin's wife and son.

I found one more pic of one of the clues hanging on the wall of the End of Line Club. Here it is:

@ Neosporing : Yup, thought the same way... BUT : The comic-con footage seems to be really early in the movie. Maybe all we have seen until now is only a third of the movie ? I think there would be still a lot to tell, with one big question : Will Tron appear ? The cover of the comic to be released led me to think that Tron and Rizler may be somewhat close... :p

Yup, I couldn't agree more about Tron and Rinzler. Checkout my post from March 18, 2010:

and

Well, my point wasn't to start a speculation about those two, but heck, here's my two cents. Yes, Rinzler appears to be extremely skilled with discs. Plus, we never get to see his face ( isn't he the only one who'se masked ? ). Yes, there is the "T" shape on its torso, even if its somewhat different. BUT, if you have a peek to the comic book cover, I think it is Tron 2.0 that is depicted ( the likeness is here ) ( no, I won't make any reference jokes about the Legacy Code :p ), and he sports the same "T" shape than Rinzler.
Add to this that the comic-book is called "Betrayal", and I think that completes the picture. But, yet again, I hope I'm wrong, and I hope Tron is the armored figure we see for a split second at the end of Revolution trailer - a badass, armored rebel, that would be more like him I think, instead of pulling an Anakin Skywalker betrayal. :)

Anyway, my first point is that, even if we already saw lots of material, I don't think there is no more left to see. Quite the opposite actually. And I really hope that the Flynn Lives campaing resumes soon, things have come to a halt and it's quite sad IMHO.

I agree, there is lots we don't know and lots of surprises ahead!

If your referring to the Tron 2.0 video game, according to Joseph Kosinski, it's not cannon, so it's highly unlikely the comic will be referencing it.

As for Flynn Lives, they're the one that did the scavenger hunt at SDCC 2010, which was just a week ago. A few weeks before that, they sent out the clues on the Encom post cards, that ultimately led to the Circuit Cycle game and the identity raid puzzle, that unlocked the new trailer. So, I'd say they've been pretty active although they haven't updated their website or forum.

Not cannon, but there is a lot of common points between Tron 2.0 and Tron Legacy, starting by the father/son stuff. Sometimes I think that they tried to adapt Tron 2.0 in a movie, and got away with it during the course of the writing process. Anyway.

Nope, I was referring to the fact that, in the game, when MA3A get the Legacy code originally intented to Tron, she becomes evil and turns against the Users. Another parallel with Tron who might become Rinzler.

Just my humble ideas for all of this stuff. :)

As for Flynn Lives, well, yeah, they haven't updated their site for a while, neither their fake forum, but they did quite some stuff. I guess they've done so much I just became a spoiled guy. :p

I forgot about the video I shot on my flip camera. This is video from Flynn's Arcade on Thursday night. For those that visited the Arcade on Friday and Saturday, the experience on Thursday night was slightly different.

Unlike the experience Friday and Saturday, Thursday's experience closely replicated the scenes from the Tron Legacy trailer, with visitors entering a shut down arcade, with the games all under plastic tarps. Also, when the visitors were finally transported to the End of Line Club in the world of Tron, the club was populated by programs (wearing actual costumes from the movie) and a there was a live DJ.
