Sooo... now I have two kids... -sigh- *yawn* -sigh- (<--- I'm sure any dad's out there can relate haha)
So in the crazy halloween tradition that I unfortunately started with the first one, it looks like I'll be making TWO costumes this year.
Those of you may remember bat baby and captain america baby from previous years;

So for this year I decided to do some tron costumes. I had a bugger of a time deciding which version to do, so I ended up doing one classic tron and one tron legacy version.
The baby (9 months old now) will be classic tron, and her jumper outfit will be made in a similar manner as the originals. Reflective tape. This was great in concept when I started it a week ago. Let me tell you, it is pretty tedious, albeit, not too difficult. Hole punchers, scissors, reflective tape, and a whole lot of patience. I'm still not done with all the details, but I pretty much have the chest area done, and the real baby hockey helmet done. (no, it's not the most screen accurate because it's kinda hard to get all the detail into a baby onsie). Plus, they don't make screen accurate hockey helmets in 9 month old size (go figure! :rolleyes)
My older daughter will be sporting the tron legacy suit complete with EL lights. I'm still trying to map out all the wiring and figure out how to hide them all throughout the suit. I think I may have to add some foam sheet accents throughout the suit to hide the wires underneath....but I don't really know. Same deal as the classic tron suit, not screen accurate, but as you can see it's currently sporting sam flynn details. I'll be adding a pleather skirt to it with lights to make it a bit more "girly." The helmet here is kind of a pain because... well... I really don't know what I'm going to do for that.
Enjoy some pics.
