Trigun - Vash the Stampede .45 Long Colt Replica

Was curious if anyone had any pictures of the parts of the Vash gun? I'm trying to find something with dimensions or parts that my dad could use for a reference to machine the pieces with.

Does anyone know of a good 3rd party service to use for shopping on Yahoo japan? I'm having a time on that site, found plenty I would like to have but can't make heads or tails of what i'm doing!

I managed to get an airsoft Vash Gun for my buddy two years ago but that thing was EXPENSIVE and rare rare rare. I only lucked across one because I was on the other side of Japan in one of those off the beaten path stores that tourist don't know about.
Last year at Wonderfestival there was a gentlemen there selling resin kits

The price on his kit would roughly translate to 23bucks - all you can see here is the gun belonging to the insurance girl (Millie?) He had them all - But I didn't get his card - sorry. If I do make it to Japan before Wonderfestival this year maybe i can get you some info.
But don't get your hopes up - it's almost never the same people from year to year. I'm still trying to locate the guys who sold the Akira conversion kits for motorcycles.

I would greatly appreciate that.

I'm trying my darnedest to get my hands on some kind of a kit. If I can get a poseidon kit or any type of that manner I can get it machined into metal by my father. That's the goal anyway. But again I appreciate that, and any info you can find please email me at haloboyvash@hotmail.com thanks and take care man!

if you're going to the trouble of machining a solid piece, why not just use screencaps as reference? i'm sure someone around here would take a few measurements of their gun for you.
another option might be to lurk around a few gun sites/forums for info. Vash's gun is based on a real Mateba after all.

or you could just use LEGO bricks:

sorry; i know that doesn't help, but it was too cool to not post.

Vash's gun is based on a real Mateba after all.

'Based' yes, but only in theory. The only design elements taken from the Mateba are the bottom-firing chamber. People often assume that Vash's gun is an Auto Revolver like the Mateba (which uses the force of an expelled shot to cycle the cylinder and cock the hammer for the next shot) but Vash's gun is infact just a Double Action revolver. (where the gun can be fired by cocking the hammer each time or pulling the trigger, but the trigger pull is twice as long and has twice as much resistance since you're cocking the gun and firing at the same time)

Having a real Mateba wouldn't help you with the design.

Off-topic somewhat, but those are actually Natsuki Kuga's pistols from the series My-HiME.

i was just suggesting he use some specs for reference, not that he buy an actual gun; that'd be silly. he could have half-a-dozen Sidkit guns for the price of a real autorevolver.

Isn't this one of Sidkit's metal guns?

I love how so many people still believe the fictional gun manufacture's name is Angel Arms. Just makes me giggle a little.

There's a correction on the bottom.
Let's not do the Eagle/Angel debate again. :lol

I just saw that now. I can't check eBay on my computer at work so I have to look at it from my phone and that's how I originally missed it. :$

There is no debate, it's Eagle. :lol

I finished mine about a month ago for Anime Central and made molds, but there were some deep undercuts that the urethane rubber didn't like and they tore in a few places. Managed to get one good pull from the molds, but I'll be repairing them here in a bit to make a few more guns:

I saw a guy at Acen who had a gun that looked almost identical to my build, but with more details that I forgot to add. He said it was a kit but I didn't ask where he got it and I've never seen a kit of a Vash gun shaped like this. He spray painted the whole thing with rattle can chrome and you had to either know what details to look for, or look real close to see any of the fine details since it was painted all chrome. Anyway, here's a pic of a guy (who isn't me) dressed like vash holding my gun:

I think it turned out quite nice.

Yeah if I win I will for sure post some pics of it on here. I really don't have the extra cash but you only have one life to live and might as well enjoy it while you can and do what makes you happy. I been searching for this gun for years so I'm definitely going to try and bring this home to add to my growing collection!

Eagle dosen't make any sense. Well, for that matter the whole "arms factory" bit dosen't make any sense since Knives apparently pulled a Tony Stark and built both of them out of spare parts in a cave. :confused

They look more like angel wings than they do letter 'E's.
