It's just sitting in there for now. Like the Admiral said, superglue when I'm ready to finalize it.

More work today, sanding, fitting, re-shaping.... had to run out to buy sheet styrene at 1mm thickness for shims all over the top of the P1... gotta make it look just right!

I changed the shape of this P1 a little, so I'll have to straighten the rails just a tiny bit (it's quite easy if you know how), but even as is the fit's pretty good.

That looks like a good fit to me, and modifying them a bit is no biggie. I just didn't want to make new ones from scratch because without the proper tools it's a lot of work.

A compromise: slide the rail back from the front a mil or so+- splitting the difference slightly. It’s looking great btw!

Partly, but also the rails (fins as you call them) do not go all the way to the end of the P1 anyway.
