Thanks everyone. Hey Kithunter, If the lair is still around when I am done with this thing you will be the first to know. Priest I get the little parts from battleship models. Because they are sized down so far they are fairly unrecognizable. I sometimes glue parts together and then sculpt on them a little bit to make them further unrecognizable.

Ok, the tail end is done now I just need to touch up some of the hard surfaces an I will be ready to mold.

This sculpt is done. Waiting for the silicone.
That tail end will be sanded smooth after casting. It's just easier to do that on some surfaces.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with the mold Jeff as I love watching you make stuff. It is also nice to see that your workbench looks basically just like mine... 
Looks like progress! When I get going on something cleaning my bench off is the last thing on my mind but I know exactly where everything is. Keep up the good work.

I finally got of the butt and put some silicone on this.
First coat.

Got the mother mold done this evening and pulled the silicone.

Hey Made, that Stroke works great. You have to move pretty fast or use small batches as you only have about 20 minutes to spead it.

Did some fiberglass work tonight. Only a little high from the fumes. Just kidding, had the garage door open.

Hey Kithunter, that is a good question. I've done lots of drawings but I am really just hoping for the best. I wish I could just sculpt the whole thing at one time that would solve a lot.

I spent a few hours at the crack of dawn this morning workin on this.
This is the tear down. I almost forgot what it looked like under there.
Cuttin the grooves.
The rear panel. I had to make this and cut it out to get the body on. I'll probably use magnets to hold it in place.
Everything fits like a glove. I almost wouldn't have to use any screws to keep it in place. Almost.
The arms for mounting worked out great. The screws will be fill with putty and painted to blend in with the
other do-dads.
Finally the blades retracted and extended. Just under 7 inches of movement. My goal was 7 so I guess I
fell short.
