Tombstone Marshal Fred White

Trying to figure movies is a mess...even with continuity checks things get thru ! Stuff changes on a daily basis...there's no knowing the hour to hour making of, so just enjoy the flick ! Analysis leads to paralysis !
Makes for a great cosplay though with all instances onscreen having the same stuff.

Laredo, one of my favourite tv Westerners...the outfits only changed by season or sometimes varied a little...

For sure it greatly simplifies cosplay!

Dr Henry Jones Senior wears the same outfit the entire film, though in a possible nod to the femmes fatales of old he loses bits of clothing as the film goes on, first jacket, then waistcoat, then undone necktie, ending up with a partially unbuttoned (though bloody) shirt.

And the exiled Ser Barristan Selmy wears the same costume in every scene except for one change of shirt-colour.

And I believe my cosplays John Hammond and Allan Quatermain wear the same costume throughout (there's one scene where Quatermain comes in from the rain wearing hat and duster over his same costume).

What rifle do you use for AQ costume

Sadly I never got that far.

Originally I had thoughts of doing the publicity shot costume with hat, duster, and rifle (and, oddly, the Bowie knife shoved under his belt rather than in its sheath)

but I decided to stick with the simpler costume he wears throughout the film.

I did some research into that quite rare rifle and talked to a couple people who make 3D printed and cast resin replica firearms but that didn't get anywhere.

What I did acquire was an old 1:1 scale plastic model kit of a Winchester rifle which Quatermain shoots at one point in the film. That would have made an ideal prop, lightweight and nonferrous. I always keep in mind practical matters of cosplaying at Cons like getting through Security and not having to carry around a bulky or heavy prop all day.

But then that incident at the Phoenix Comic Con happened and all the Cons here in California banned anything resembling a weapon, even Nerf guns, water guns, Harry Potter wands, etc so even that plastic Winchester wasn't going to work.

I have a really nice replica Colt Python for my Chief Jim Hopper cosplay but I've never tried taking it to a Con.

I have a resin Webley Green for Quatermain but I've only used it for photos I've taken in my garden.

Webley is one of my favorites.

the knife belt thing is the Jungle carry ! Think Tarzan
What's odd about it is that throughout the film he carries that knife in a sheath on his belt, partially covered by his gilet.

I can imagine at the publicity-photo shoot somebody saying "we need to see the knife!" and Sir Sean (or the costumer) sticking it in his belt.

He also has a second, smaller knife in a sheath attached to one of his boots.

One bend of the knee and that blade becomes part of your thigh bone, nice and deep. It really emphasises that he is posing and not really carrying this amazingly dangerous blade.
