If you're interested, I have one of gucabe's cylinders that I've been playing with for my DL-44 airsoft build. I can put them on my denix if you want to see what it looks like....
Exactly. The Todd's kit cylinders are plastic too-- and technically screen accurate, since you have to cut and fit them yourself. I think the blame is on me for not achieving a fit that I'm happy with. I can't say for certain that I would like a one-piece part better, but I might as well try.I guess if you think about it, they were plastic on the original prop, right?
Sorry for the poor lighting and cellphone pics. I feel these 3d printed pieces are a little loose on the denix because it was designed for cheaper airsoft guns. However, I'm sure you could mold the plastic tighter by softening it up with a heat gun or dunking in boiling water.

Looking good! What grips are those on the Denix?
They came with my eBay denix. I thought they look pretty good for "Synthetic Wood-like Grips."
