Managed to pull of a great deal of work today. Exerementing on a non chromed or coldcast MK2 it appears to be good. Takes forever to dry. :$
Now getting something to eat and then relax with good company, a cigar and a glass of Rose Sparkling wine.

Taking time but are progressing.
The suit is painted with a silver chrome paint. Problem is that it takes aprox 3-5 days to cure propperly... and still it can be tacky but it looks good without the cost of chrome. But in regards of a MK2 compare to what i know know for a wearable costume i belive a Coldcast is most durable and then chrome the best look, then this method as a economy version were you can easy maintain scuffs and wear by a new layer of paint.

Here we added the movie crotch and implemented far more movie inspired design, it was at this point we decided to scrap the Hybrid and go for what we later call the Prototype version that we finished 2 weeks prior to the movie premiere and that lead to GEN1,GEN2,GEN3 V.1. and GEN3 V.2.
This was the first helmet.. This never saw the day of light..
Some altered the first prototype came out.
I really liked this version. A bit different faceplate i think this could been a cool helmet. But it looked wrong because we tried to implement to much of the movie design in the comic book helmet look.

Thank you all for your nice comments.
After a long day... This project been far more dificult than i expected. The chrome paint is very tricky. Sometimes it sticks on the surace other it dont. I doubt we will ever use this paint on a big project like this.
I got some photos, but i will get back to you tomorrow.

I guess that you already tried, but what about a polished cold cast made out of aluminium?
From what I've seen with a cold cast Jango helmet, you can have great result (not chrome like a mirror, but close)
