That's why I went "Idealized"...

It would always bother me if I did the grips like in the reference.

Here are close ups of my scratch made button... red button that I popped out and then ground a red LED to fit...

Hand painted the arrows as well... which is why they are crooked. Took so long I dunno If I can bear replacing with decals.


I haven't been following the talk about the printing on the saber... mine had nothing, or I was able to wipe clean. so long ago I don't remember.

This was my saber end solution... going for idealized... like closwer to a graflex end cap. What a pain. It's in there pretty tight... so even to make it black is gonna be a small nightmare... so haven't touched it... yet.

For sure I'll upgrade with a new box... and maaaaybe bulb... The rest I'll likely leave. I mean, it's the holiday saber... how much time and frustration do I want to put on this.

Well judging by this old pic, mine did have lettering on it at one point.

What was the final on that? lettering was off? Hope so!

Lettering removed, or they used a graflex and the letters are covers under the grips and paint

Do you guys think this red light is close enough?
It looks a tad large, but mine is also positioned incorrectly. If I were to scoot it down so that it was touching the port like the real one I think it would look really close.

Yeah it looks a bit on the large side. I found these, but didn’t instal it permanently in case something better shows up

Yeah they're still not perfect. but the more I look at it it's only like 1 mm or 2 off. I have mine in the wrong place and that's throwing it off a bit. Still going to include them in the kit for those that want them.

New kits are available now in my shop!
I have a full kit that includes control box, decals, arrows, under-shroud decal, shroud templates, end cap, key ring, and red light.
And I also have an End Cap kit which includes the parts needed to catch people up who ordered the original control box kit.
