Tips for building the 1/350 scale polar lights enterprise

My advice would be to take your time building this model,
because it really takes a lot of time to do it right. :eek

Just got the model from UPS today. I know it massive but when you see it in person and not in a photo its a whole new story. Have to wait for the lighting kit from trek modeler. Will post pics soon.

Six weeks till lighting kits gets here. Going to go to the local hardware store and pick up some stuff to do the light blocking. Like white primer, flat black, and a metallic silver to help with light reflection on the inside. Pics coming soon. Thanks for the help. keep the tips coming i am going to need them.

I'm putting mine together now. I'm using Pearl-Ex pigments on mine.
In certain light they show up but other times the model just looks
white. The pigments aren't that expensive and I'm using future for
the thinner. It may be something you want to consider. By the
way the pigments flip flop colors depending on angle so gold
may look silver in certain light or red may look green and so on.
Hope this helps.

I was thinking of useing the Tamiya pearl white which gives a white shimmering look. Thank you everyone for all of the suggestions it's a big help.
