Small update:

Got my silicone. My daytime job is picking up speed again, after a quiet time, so the moonrocket work i do mostly in the weekends. Tomorrow i'll pour the silicone molds, and maybe i'll have the first pulls on sunday....maybe....

I don't know who else ordered one of these, or if it is appropriate of me to discuss my own experience here -- I'm more of a lurker than a poster on this board so if this is an inappropriate post, please delete. I was very, very excited to get one of these kits, as the Tintin rocket is something of a personal icon for me, and paid $300 as soon as I learned about it, last summer. Long story short, delivery of the kit has been "about to happen, almost ready" ever since. I have finally given up and am awaiting a refund, which I have not yet received. I feel that I should post this just for the general information of the board so that others can make more informed decisions than I was able to, but as I say, if it is incorrect of me to recount these events here, I would ask the moderators to delete this post.

I farmed out the hulls as i was busy with another project, but it took them way longer than was necessary, till the point where i could not keep my new deadlines anymore. So i called them yesterday, and forced them to deliver. Actually spoke with the boss, and not my contact. He called me back today, even though every company is closed here in the Netherlands due to queensday (national holiday). Was very apologetic and they're pulling some extra strains to get it done.

I'll be more than happy to send you your stuff if that is what you prefer. was about to PM you about that anyway, but you beat me to the punch.

Unbelievably I am STILL waiting to receive my rocket (note earlier date stamps for a sense of how long this thing has been "about to be delivered.") Wasili hasn't been answering my PMs anymore -- was hoping that he might respond to this. I paid a big chunk of money for this thing in August of 2009 -- since then I have had deaths in the family, been in the hospital, put down a beloved dog ... seems like a million years have gone by ... and I'm still waiting, still hoping ... it's always right around the corner...

Anyone else who ordered this thing, have you received yours?

I'm very sorry Jiminydog. The rockets have fallen in between workcommitments, and i've been moving stuff in and out of the workshop just to have some space.

For what it's worth, i do sincerely apologize for the delay. Honestly, i will not be able to get to them till the 2nd week of feb. I'll do my best to get the rocket to you there and then. I also want to move on and close the rocket chapter.

Btw, only member Nwerke is waiting for his.

Aaaaaaand there's that little matter of a DIFFERENT kit that you started after this one, but got more orders for.

I'm just digging mildly here. If I'd received the thing in Sept 2009 I probably still wouldn't have finished it by now anyway. Sort out Jiminydog and Keith and the other APC customers, they're more het up than me.
