Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes

Haha dude thats great! Don't take this the wrong way but... you could pull off the costume without even using the makeup. You look like you have a great time being dressed up as MH and its trully refeshing! Good Work!

thanks was sketching out how i'm going to be doing the alice dress for my missis last night !!! she doesn't want it to look like the one in the film but i am going to take parts of it and see what i can come up with !!!

she said as we are going out in manchester she what it to me more sexy so its going to be short !! i saw someone on here has laced the back up so i'll be using that idea !!

ps *ACME* Brand that is so cool i want one with wheels then can take it on my night out and get my friends to push me around in it :lol:lol:lol

I saw this posted on Facebook last Halloween... I don't know how this girl did it SO fast and SO well and looks SO good in it but I think it's the perfect 'sexy burton alice'! it has just enough elements without being too cluttered in a tiny costume and yet still totally and perfectly recognizable!

ACME, as I always said and will say - your work always just so Magic and Amazing!

Got Mom into helping out witht he costume. She offered to do my peacock pin. Here is the prototype. She did this version to get the stitching and beadwork just right. The center jewel is a button I found in SF a couple months back.(fabric store on Haight street) It was stitched on embroidery fabric, then the beadwork. The feather was taped on to hold down. Felt was layed over that and the pink outer threadwork was done. No threadwork or the metal bead was put on as it IS a prototype and we're taking it apart to get the button to lay flatter. Mom used a metal pin instead of stitching it down which we will do next time around. Least i have an extra pin now to wear under my larger hat. I already made a smaller hatter type hat using some remnant fabric from a Renn Faire costume I did years ago. Comments, tips, advice? Just be gentle on the criticism it's our first pin. :cool

A shot of the original we based our version on.

The feather itself on ours is scattered as we used a leftover for the proto and the fuller one for our final version. Stitching down the button will help secure the gem/button. Our color is off too as Mom is saving the proper color for the final version. Note the slight color change in the blue area. :cool
